Cause of my ED

Postby Mike02 » Thu Apr 25, 2019 1:33 am

Hi. Not sure if this question relates directly to implant. But I believe there seems a lot of wise men here whom may be able to advise me. I have been suffering from ED for close to 10 years. Cialis hardly work on me. Viagra works, but I sense that it wasn't as good as before these days. I never had prostate surgery. Test showed no venous leak too. No disbete. But just couldn't get up. I had total thyroidectomy previously and now on thyroid replacement daily. After my urologist put me on testosterone replacement, daily cialis, PRP, and I still show no improvement, he said my cause may be due to overtreating of thyroid level. I even gone through conselling. Tight now, I was put on hyperthyroidism state now. So I go back to my endrocinologist, she insist it is definitely not the case, that my thyroid condition has no relation with my ED. So I was left in this helpless state, couldn't even figure out exactly what's the reason behind my ED. I also vaguely recall a sexual incident at my younger days when I have lost my ability to get an erection a few days after that day. Not sure if I had a penile injuiry then. ZI just recall my penis seemed very swollen and simply couldn't get a erection when masturbating. I was just expecting it to heal by itself then. My biggest doubt is, is my ED due to my thyroid condition, that I should just hope my thyroid level will stablize one day snd hence my erection will come back? Hope that someone here can advise me on the corelation between thyroid condition and ed. By the way, I started medication 3 years back. Or is it due to that sexual incident that may have caused penile juiry that left untreated,, may have cause my ed? Thanks for advice.
48 yo. Not sure of my cause of ed. Doctor said no venous leak. Never had prostate surgery. Things just don't work. Considering implant seriously...

You said that you are on testosterone replacement therapy, have you had your level checked? I was put on Androgel and found that it didn't really work for me. Now, I take a self administered injection once every three weeks. Are you able to get an erection for masturbation?

My urologist have checked that I have low T. So he put me on Nebido injection. But no clear improvement felt. Still cannot achieve a proper erection while masturbating.

OK, so get him to check your levels now. My levels have to be on the high end of normal before they work but, now that it does work, I have the libido of a virgin 18 year old... I gotta get my wife some new running shoes. :D

Why do you want your wife to be able to run better? Unless you are planning on putting glue on the soles of those 15 lb running shoes.

It's not unusual for Doctors to have different opinions. Google thyroid + Erectile Dysfunction and see what comes up.
Obviously if your Doctors have no clue, what I say is not going to help. Even if I had the same problem and my doctor noticed it, unless there is some specific test my diagnosis would not apply to you.
It sounds as if your body isn't really trying to trap the blood. Not leakage just not trying.
I don't like shots but you could go to one of those mix it up Doctors that use multiple meds. If you can get one that works have your uro schedule another Doppler and this time go in with a good erection. Something might turn up?
Sorry I can't really help. ED sucks no matter what causes it.
