Bending Cylinders

Postby Vagabond127 » Sun Apr 14, 2019 4:30 pm

I have a Titan. Love it. Surgery went great. However after I pump to max rock hard after about 20 minutes cylinders are bendable. Bulb gets slightly softer. I pump once more and cylinders are rock hard again. Any feedback??

You're just stretching! I do the same thing.

What do you mean stretching? Am I increasing girth as I do this? And will it eventually stop?

That is a good thing. If you try every 5 minutes or so, you will probably be able to put one or more pumps in it. :)

I think it means first that your cylinders are straightening out unbending from deep inside. I'm pretty sure that it could mean that your girth is stretching if your corporas were rather tiny (less than 18mm) after the trauma of surgery. For me more girth came with time and healing as tissue grew back inside of me.

Does this cycle repeat itself any number of times, or is the "softening, re-stiffening" cycle able to be done only once?

If it is repetitive, you may have a leak in the valve allowing the fluid in the implant to return to the reservoir. If this is the case, it may be because the valve is not seating fully either because it is new or not being activated with enough emphasis when you initiate inflation.

If it is a defective valve, you may need to have the valve/pump assembly replaced. (Which is not nearly as invasive as replacing the entire implant.)

Just in case it is a defective valve, you should let your surgeon know AND THE COLOPLAST REPRESENTATIVE. Letting Coloplast know is important for warranty purposes. If it is not the valve, no harm done. If it is the valve, you may have a claim against Coloplast to take care of the costs. It does not hurt to have this documented at Coloplast.

I think the most likely scenario is that the valve is not seating because (of a combination of) the fact it is new and may require a bit more emphasis in the activation, which will get easier over time.

I would suggest that yes, it is. It will stretch it for a while as long as when you start to feel uncomfortable, you squeeze it a little more each time. The uncomfortable feeling is a pain for gain.. :) :) :)
