Hey guys. I was implanted with a AMS LGX 6 weeks ago and was cleared to start pumping Friday. Everything worked well in the office and again that afternoon when I got home and tried it again. Now last night when my wife and I went to have some fun, the valve was a little reluctant to switch to inflate. Now I can't get it to switch from deflate to inflate to save my life. There were several times while squeezing the bulb that it made the same sound it does when I deflate it. The pump bulb is hard to depress and sometimes when it does it's slow to refill. Am i doing something wrong or is there a secret reset procedure?

These pumps can be glitchy especially early on. Make sure the first pump is quick and sharp. If it doesn’t switch to inflate, push the release button hard and try again.

I've tried that several times but maybe I didn't press the button hard enough. I may not be pressing fast or hard enough on the first pump but the pump bulb is so hard I haven't been able to do it any faster yet. I'll try again tomorrow (a little sore in the scrotum right now).

If anyone else has any advice please post it up. The more knowledge and experience the better.

I have to do a reset of the valve on a regular basis. You put your thumb & forefinger on opposite sides of the square deflation block and squeeze toward each other for about four seconds. Then, squeeze the deflate button for four seconds. Your pump bulb should then "pop" into inflation mode when you squeeze it hard & fast. Sometimes I have to do this a couple of times before I get the "pop". Also helps to completely squeeze all of the fluid from your shaft when you deflate...as ED2013 said, the pumps tend to be glitchy at times...

Welcome to my world, or it was before RN AMS Nelson showed me a trick. Don't know if you got the AMS video with your implant it shows and says to squeeze the round end of the bulb real fast and hard. BAD ADVICE. For months I tried that and did just like you locked it up tight every time.
NEVER NEVER NEVER squeeze the round part of the bulb. Squeeze just in front of the ring around the bulb toward the middle of it. Thumb on top straddling your finger beneath. Very soft there and POP the valve sets first time every time. If not on rare rare occasions I hit deflate and try again. Never failed twice in a row. Squeezing the round end never succeeded even once.

Hold the release down once before each inflation just to be sure it is in the ready position. I always deflate before inflating. Hope this helps have fun

I have attached the AMS Manual. If, after reading it, I would suggest that you call Jamie. She has been working in men's sexual medicine for 24 years now and knows the implant better than anyone else I know. Now when I stand at the urinal at the hockey arena, instead of getting in really close to it, I stand back a little. I am no longer ashamed of my Johnson. Best wishes to you.
