It didn’t look like this in the first 12 months.
After about 18 months it settled in to looking like it does now
I think the 2 lessons are: do what your surgeon says and have patience.....oh and thirdly, don’t rely on medical science for good health....get off your arse and ‘move’ ......plus stop eating crap and drinking more booze than commonsense tells you.
After looking at many pics on here I’ve come to the conclusion that the slimmer, fitter and healthier you are; the better the outcome.

I had surgery for partially or maybe even mostly cosmetic reasons. I had 2 doctors tell me that even though Peyronie's Disease had left me with a 90 degree bend and a bad hourglass deformity I should not have graft surgery and do plication instead. I was told that graft surgery usually failed and left you with permanent ED. I had plication surgery and hated the results. I lost about 2 inches, about 30 degrees of bend, still had a good sized dent in my penis and quite a bit of narrowing after the lesion. I think it was a godsend that 2 weeks after I saw my first post surgery erection I was back to being just as bent as ever. I found a doctor who did graft surgery with full knowledge that if it failed I could get an implant. After about 2 years pills lost the ability to give me a useable erection and that is what I did. 9 months post surgery I could be happier. My only regret is not insisting on an implant earlier but I'm happy with the way things turned out.

I've never admitted this just because. I did VED because reports showed it could cure ED. Well it did not work fast enough so I gave up. But my erections were getting harder and now my glans gets hard enough by itself to make my crooked penis straight. Now I'm not saying that I'm cured but I am saying that had I continued VED therapy every day it is very possible that using pills or trimix that I might have prolonged the agony.
Why?????

I doubt it. Such results are usually temporary, I suspect because the body releases more NO after trauma, but the results are not permanent. Actually it likely does the opposite - it can increase ED by reducing Veno-occlusion capacity. The only advantage would be that it helps maintain oxygenated blood.

I know people do whatever they want with their bodies, it's their right.

However, in my opinion, choosing an implant for cosmetic reasons would be utterly stupid.
First, the flaccid is not better than a natural flaccid. Second, the "bulge" some men seems to like could be achieved by using proper underwear.

Third, there's pain, there are infection risks, there are expenses, the procedure and healing take time...

Not just stupid. It's sick. Professional help should be sought if a man is willing to do that for this purpose.

My new always flaccid dick is just icing on the cake, the bit of bulge it makes in my jeans is just fine too. I'm old not dead. If it had been working correctly I would have not made the change but you take the full package deal ie- the cost, time, pain, bruising, and risks in this deal.
All these guys here are courageous men -who choose to make their bodies complete again. The alternative is to live in sadness.

Welcome to the Brotherhood, cbinspok! We have almost EXACTLY the same implants (you have one more RTE than me) and I could not agree more with what you wrote. I didn't know until weeks after surgery that I would have a flaccid penis almost TWO INCHES longer than before. From a grower to a shower -- what an unexpected but welcome bonus! Now that I'm just 10 days away from celebrating my one year implantation anniversary, I can tell you that it will only get better and better as time passes.

Sorry but you're very wrong about the flaccid size. I went from less then an inch to 4", and when flaccid it is always this size, hot or cold, horny or not. I love my new normal flaccid size.

@Happy Toy

Ok, so I should add "in basically all cases I've seen, the natural flaccid is better looking".

Yea your flaccid is better now, I must admit. But I think you're an exception.

I think it might have been a poor choice of words but I believe what Happy Toy was trying to say is that without an implant, most men who are "GROWERS" will have a very short flaccid and once they are implanted their "flaccid" (deflated, no longer called "flaccid" at this point) would be considerably longer, like a man who is a "SHOWER" (flaccid near the same size of their erect penis).

I also think he was speaking of himself, in reference to his "turtle" prior to implant vs. his post-implant deflated length.

Good to hear Barry, I'm just impatient and want to be "free" 4 weeks till next opp, then more recoup. can't wait for that year to go by.
