Soreness can be a sign that you still have room to grow. Try 2x a day for an hour or more.

inflate 2 tad two times a day for a least one hr.
pump as hard as you can
every 15 min re pump

I don't know what is with these guys who can't get the tips right? The most important part and they get it wrong again and again. Doesn't help that the makes of implants don't make 1 mm increments.
Do this fully inflate take a pencil with a soft eraser push it tight against your pube and mark where the tip of the glans comes. Then pull a tape on the pencil. I bet you're going to come up with more than 6".

I'd be willing to bet a good BPL on you would scare the hell out of 6.5 to 7 inches, and scare the hell out of your partner's cervix at the same time.
