Revision surgeries-why?

Curious as to why there are so many revision surgeries. Can you please share your stories? I have my first implant consult this week, and all these revision posts have me a little freaked out Thanks

1) device fails
2) some incompetent moron f'd up the previous installation
3) wore it out using it to death. Yippee!
4) Companies more interested in buying each other out with profits than investing in improving their age old design product.
5) Discomfort
6) Some people just plain old do not understand the product nor how to use it
7) Wrong product chosen
8) Wife got it in the divorce.

I had a revision 15 years after my first implant. And I believe that the pump might have quit. I never did ask the doctor that gave the revision as to what had failed, but after fifteen years I thought it was time for something to wear out. And I am very sexually active so it got used plenty.
But one the revision the MS pump already failed and I will have it replaced March 22, 2019. I am almost positive that it is the pump because it was giving problems from the start. And finally after 20 months it just quit working. But other then the MS pump I really like the LGX cylinders. It gives you full length and lots of girth to where you will be very happy like I was. MS pump though is a poor design in my opinion. It is suppose to be heavy duty, but you can not convince me of that.

schmeb37, with a competent, experienced doctor, you have little chance of needing a redo. In most cases, nobody ever hears from the satisfied ones again so posts of horror stories are more common on the forums. Various outlets report different numbers but between 12,000 and 20,000 implants are installed a year. The few revisions you read here are low in comparison. Another reason is some people have higher standards than others. Some will accept a crap install and be happy as long as the doc says it is o.k. because it gets hard and offers to shoe your horse for free when his medicine wagon makes the next trip through. Others demand perfection and damn well intend to settle for nothing less. Make sure you feel comfortable with your doctor. If you don't, fire his ass and find another. Cheers man. Don't stress.

choose the right doctor and you won't have to worry about revisions. I'm about to have my second one in a year. Dr. Kate I wanted to fix everything on the first revision but I still had hopes of saving it. That was stupid. But then again I'm only a patient. so my problem was very thin tissue from Decades of Ed and two surgeons who didn't really understand the significant of that condition. But neither did I course I'm not a surgeon. I ended up with a pump in the wrong place that was a surgeons fault a crooked penis also the surgeons fault and distal crossover possibly the surgeons fault. If you've had Decades of Ed you may want to find a special specialist to do your surgery. Otherwise I assume that you'll be all right. despite what others are saying he'll probably lose about quarter of an inch with a normal surgeon. What a quarter of an inch is impossible to see and doesn't really affect anything anyway. I haven't used VED days I have just lost for rent

I love this hands off voice activation. You never know what it's going to come up with. Especially when you're in a hurry. What I actually said is that I haven't used VED in days and I have lost a quarter inch which is no big deal can't even tell without a measuring stick.
