Does Dr. Eid still offer a 10 year warranty on his work too? I think out of pocket for him would be anesthesia.

Still in the hospital. Doc wants antibiotics through tomorrow morning. Seems
to have gone really well. The leak was in the pump. Kept the reservoir and replaced
pump and cylinders from 20+2 to 22+1.5. 90% less pain, hopefully learn more
tomorrow I was out of it post op....still am a little.
Thanks

Good deal! That's quite a gain though you probably would have preferred your old implant still working. Redos are no fun.

I must say, there is little comparison between the original placement of the device last March and the recent revision. Pain was off the charts last year, but with the revision I’m going to work tomorrow and expecting only minor discomfort.

Thank you for this forum and all of you great guys who participate. It was this site and the discussions and info here that lit a fire under my ass. It helped me to act quickly and deliberately in a few weeks instead of dragging it out for years.

Did the doc say why the size could go up after 11 months?

No he did not. He just said I would be happy with the revision and told me what he installed.

I had asked why the initial implant was 20+2 instead of 22 cm so he knew that concern. My concern regarding this was because my girth seemed to be less after the implant.

Regarding size, the only measuring I ever did was length, 3 or 4 times between 13 and 17 years old, never girth. My recollection has always been about 6.5" length from those days.

When I began cycling implant I was about 5.75". When the implant broke I was at 6.75", but even without empirical evidence I knew there was some decrease in girth. My wife noticed this also.

I'm not supposed to begin using it for a couple more days, but even with the slight inflation thus far the girth already feels much more familiar to what it had been for almost 50 years.

The girth is never the same as it was blood engorged. I miss that. :( .
