11 months to the day. Revision scheduled for 3/5. Wondering what to expect as far as healing compared to the initial surgery. How about if it's a simple line repair? Is recovery much quicker?

Everything was working great and it just sprung a leak at about 60% while cycling. Thanks for any help.

Revisions are generally less painful, and you’re usually able to cycle earlier.

I had my pump moved in December. Yours should be even more simple. Mine was good ready to go after 3 days 4 tops. I insisted on surgical glue no stitches instant healing.

It depends on where the blowout occurred. If in the pump, tubing or a connector you may be able to get away with just replacing the failed component. If the reservoir sprung a leak, the surgery is more invasive and if the implant itself needs replacing, it is much more involved. Though usually the healing for even a full replacement is (I have read here) much more comfortable and quicker than the original implantation.

Do you know exactly where the blowout occurred? Was it sudden? Was there swelling (i.e. a bubble) where the saline leaked out?

My "blowout" was the tube coiling and coming loose. Dr. teased me it was 'too much cowgirl' but he was just kidding. Recovery was quick. Lost a little sensitivity. Still love my implant. Good luck man!

The only reason I can think for the failure is a defect in the device, I was pumping it up in the morning (cycling). before morning routine and at about 60% the bulb compressed unusually and a burning/stinging sensation went up the left side of the penis. I stopped because I was anxious about what may be happening. I went upstairs and just continued getting ready for work,

Once in the shower I tried to resume pumping and basically all of the fluid leaked out of the cylinders, I saw the doc the next day and he confirmed there was a leak but could not know where until he opened it up, Revision/repair scheduled for Tuesday so I have been working my tail off to get things in order at work so I can take off the time I need,

The only silver lining in all of this is my dear wife. who was apprehensive about the implant initially. seems more anxious to get it fixed than me,

From what I understand, either AMS or Coloplast pays for the device but, the patient is on the hook for everything else unless it was the doctors fault.
