Probelms Inflating and deflating AMS 700

Its been 3 weeks since my surgery. The uro pumped me up the first time 4 days ago and it worked great. I been having trouble inflating and deflating my AMS 700. I've tried a lot of times and only did it twice and the erection was nothing like he got. Can't seem to get that click when squeezing or get the in deflate button to work the first time. Also painful.

Also noticed that when I'm deflated, the penis seems hard and cold. Is that normal? I assume what I feel are the tubes.

Thanks

Give Jamie a call... she is fantastic. If you have to leave a message, do so, she is good at returning calls. :)

Hi Shipper
you might try pushing the deflate button before you start inflating you can also give the pump a quick squeeze before you start inflating both do about the same had the same issues it gets lots better with time be patient it does take time to learn

+1 My pump is still a bit stiff but is getting better.
I don't get a noticeable click, but I get one full depress the first time it's actuated.

At 3 wks. You are one to three wks. Ahead of most men who start inflating. The pump, cylinders are still very stiff
With time they will soften it takes time. Mine took six wks. After one and yr.you could call them soft. Sit in hot bath will help, heat pad will help. Personally I can't stand bath tub yuk.if you try to inflate and it doesn't go to inflate mode
reset the pump by pressings the deflate button. It is a real pain in the you know what but keep trying, you won't brake any thing. As your fingers get stronger, the soreness from the incision heals and the material softens you'll
get it. No such thing as a dumb question on this site. Work up to twice a day up to one hr. Per session.
Not a lot of fun. No pain no gain.

I found when flaccid, my penis feels slightly hard and cold. Is that normal?

Some urologists have an assistant or a friendly patient who can help guys as they start out pumping their implants. Have you checked that out?

Shipper:

I had the same problem with finding the deflate button on my AMS 700 LGX. It gets much easier after you heal up and there's less fibrous mushy stuff in your scrotum...took me about 7-8 weeks to get to that point. The basic drill is this: feel behind the pump and trace up to the back & middle of the rectangular deflation block with your index finger (opposite side of the deflation button). You'll feel some circular indented ridges. Once your index finger is there, put your thumb on the other side of the deflation block on the deflation button & do a claw motion...press both your index finger & thumb together on either side of the deflation block. When you hear the buzz, hold it for about 4-5 seconds until the buzzing stops...then wring out the remaining fluid by squeezing the top of the shaft & working your way down. They should've given you a rubber model to practice on...do the claw move on that for practice & then try it out. That was my biggest problem w/ the implant. I got hold of Dr. Kramer who contacted AMS for me...ended up sending a rep to my office for further instruction...great company. Also had the local patient rep checking in with me...sometimes this may be easier to do in a bathtub full of warm water...especially in the beginning. Rest assured you'll get the hang of it and be workin' your AMS 700 like a champ in no time...
