Awesome, thank you so much! I guess I'll just see what I can find on Amazon!

I've had ED for years and have not yet purchased a pump. I've read up on some protocols and think that getting one would probably be a good idea as I might be waiting a bit longer for my actual implant. If you have used a pump before, are there are particular models of pump you would recommend? I've seen a lot of different answers online and I wouldn't even know where to begin with purchasing one.

Many will disagree with me but I went to a sex store and got a cheapie for $60 CDN. It has a pump, an emergency release valve and a cylinder. You can spend lots of money but they all have the same components. I pump up for 5 minutes every day (but I also have an implant). Dr. Perito told me to pump it up so that it is comfortable but one more pump would make it uncomfortable. Leave that for 30 minutes. If you can manage this twice a day, that would be great but, once a day is better than nothing. :)

You are welcome. You MAY get a red cherry looking thing on your head... don't worry, it goes away pretty quick. It is caused by either too much pressure or too long. You need to get max pressure without this happening.. it may take a couple of attempts to get it right but, that's ok. :)

There is an important question I seldom hear asked on the threads where really young guys are contemplating “jumping in with both feet” and getting an implant: Do you get erect during masturbation? If the answer is yes, then you may be experiencing the same anxiety that’s plagued every young human male since the model first rolled off the assembly line. If your inexperienced sexually, and only experience ED with woman, then you may need to do what the rest of us did at your age. Find less intimidating women to get naked with. They may not be “dreamgirl” material, but a woman who also has areas of self-consciousness can sometimes be a lower stress experience (in that the two of you are, to some extent, equally yoked). ….and yes….I’m going to post this on several threads, because although some of these young guys may, in fact, have physical issues……. some may just have to much access to to much information, via the internet, and could be jumping to conclusions to early.
I'm 55. PostFinasterideSyndrome/Peyronies . Initially had good erections but numbness. Now erections are compromised, but good sensitivity. I see Dr. Irwin Goldstein and do : TRIMIX-Clomiphene-Arimidex –Cabergoline -Cialis -Traction-VED-Pshot-gainswave

With all due respect, I think I made it very clear in my original post that my ED was definitely not psychological. I understand that in the vast majority of young guys, any ED that is experienced is due to psychological problems. But no, I cannot get a good erection during masturbation and maintaining it is very difficult. My Penis literally hourglasses due to all the scar tissue in my corpus cavernosum. I've tried pills and injections with very weak results from both, and I've had multiple ultrasounds of my penis revealing moderate amounts of scar tissue throughout much of my corpus cavernosum. It's not psychological, and it's not in my head, and after trying various treatments and even experimental treatments such as PRP and Shockwave therapy, it's not getting better. Implants seem to be my only option ahead to having satisfying sexual abilities the rest of my life. I understand that some guys jump to conclusions too quickly, but I can assure you that there are young guys out there like my with physical and debilitating ED to whom an implant IS the only option.

Interested in a Vacuum Pump to maintain penis tissues/size?

Postby Lost Sheep » Thu Mar 07, 2019 1:15 pm

I HIGHLY recommend a pump with a gauge. Not necessary, but nice to have. The medical-grade VEDs may be made of better materials or more robust design, but a vacuum is a vacuum. I used a vacuum cleaner hose (not a good idea - the vacuum on MY vacuum cleaner was barely adequate and the motor began to overheat from lack of cooling air flow too quickly) for a short time before I got one prescribed.

A decent manual pump can be assembled of parts easily available at an automobile parts store. There was a thread mentioning that (with specific part numbers, too) a while back.

This is a quote from that thread:

Metal Vacuum Pump w/gauge ($24)

I have adapted the metal pump (above) to a cheap tube ... and have used it for 4 yrs. with no problems ... not bad for $40 ...
