Would like feedback from guys who have personal experience with Dr. Lentz. I'm wondering about overall experience, recovery time, swelling, recovery time and how well it works and how pleased you are with your bionic dick?
Thanks,
Tom

Hello trlewis,
Dr. Lentz is an excellent surgeon as well as communicator. You can ask questions and expect satisfactory responses. In my case, we discussed treatment options, deciding on an implant, type of implant including advantages and disadvantages, as well as what to realistically expect after surgery. Look at my signature and see my decisions. What I was impressed with was his experience in both AMS and Coloplast. At approximately 2 months after surgery, I am recovering well and getting use to a sex life that I haven't experienced in years. And, I'm told things will continue to improve!

One item of encouragement, I now realize ED was the source of depression that I had learned to live with and accept due to its subtle development, not to mention my confidence.

Hi Tom

Dr. Aaron Lentz put a Coloplast Titan in me Jan 2015. In my case I did have quite a bit of swelling at first. It started going down rapidly after a couple of days. At the time I saw him I think he was doing about 130 procedures a year. He was scheduled for 6 of them across a 2 day period when I got mine. He ended up doing 5 of them. The insurance company changed their mind about paying so a procedure was cancelled. Unlike some of the higher volume surgeons I have heard about, Dr. Lentz does not try to set any speed records doing implants. I can't remember much about my recovery time. If I remember right I waited about a 5 - 6 weeks before using it. However, part of the problem was me being able to get to his office to get it activated.
In my case I had done a LOT of research so I didn't have very many questions.
At my first appointment they asked my if I had any questions. I told them let me tell you what I do know and then fill in anything I left out.
When I got done their first question was when do you want it done.

If you look Dr. Lentz up at the Coloplast web site https://www.coloplastmenshealth.com/find-a-physician/
you will see that he is listed as a center of excellence.
The care you get at Duke Raleigh hospital is the best I have ever experienced.

The implant works extremely well. In fact I kind of feel sorry for anybody that isn't bionic.

If I had it to do over again I would use Dr. Lentz without hesitation.

Clayton,
I see you just had yours done a few months ago, so how long did take to get in to see Dr.
Lentz. Someone on here said he was hard to get to see him.

Thanks,

Tom

In my case, I had my primary doctor to send my records over after calling Dr. Lentz's office. The reason was due to he was, (or still is), only accepting new patients who are candidates for surgery. I was then contacted sometime in September, forgive me for not remembering the date, and a 10/16/18 initial appointment was set. After review and it was determined I was a candidate for an implant, we decided on surgery. He asked when would I like to have surgery and I replied as soon as possible. His closest date was late January 2019. However, he had a cancellation for 12/04/2018 and asked would I be willing to proceed. The rest is history. I could hardly wait due to years of ED and literally spending thousands of dollars. No regrets now whatsoever!

I was implanted by Dr Lentz in December. I have nothing but positive things to say. I stayed the night and drove myself home the next day, which is about and hour away. I took no pain meds during recovery, my size is the same as trimix gave me. I had minimal swelling. Couldn’t be happier. Recovery for me luckily was not bad. So yes I trust dr lentz and would not question going to him. Seeing him and scheduling Surgury was about a 2 month time. Duke hospital was also great. Also I paid nothing since I already hit my maximum out of pocket for the year. He knows what he is doing and is considered high volume. He does a lot of revisions for botched implants.
Sex for me was on 5th week. A week early from his reccomendation. Life is good! I don’t have much time to post but I appreciate reading and learning from this forum. So thanks everyone on franktalk!

So, what makes you a candidate? I'm almost 51 and been type I since I was 25, started having ed issues 8-10 years ago pills used to work well. Now only a little bit of a chub and not enough for intercourse. Now I take a pill and use vacuum pump with a tension ring but still not that hard. My wife and I were talking about the other day and I asked her if she would like a nice hard dick and she grinned and said that would be nice but that I'm still getting the job done. So any insight on what makes you a candidate for an implant would be nice.
Thanks to all,
Tom
