I hear about revisions and all the horror stories. To not be able to fuck is one thing, but to lose your fantasy world in successful masturbation is quite another.

My main concern is this: if somehow i am the very unlucky guy, if i could not have erections anymore ever, can you still masturbate to orgasm?

Also, how long after surgery were you able to masturbate to orgasm?

I don't have an implant, but I've dealt with ED, and I've always been able to achieve pleasurable orgasms, with or without an erection. Before ED (when I was young, hung, and full of cum) I would have marathon sessions with high sex drive women and we would screw perhaps 15 or 20 times in a weekend, and by Sunday night, when intercourse was not possible, we would still do oral/masturbation/variations because eventually my penis was like a wet dishrag. I would still experience orgasm. Sometimes penis would swell and get almost erect for the last ten seconds, but for the most part, the erection was not related to the orgasm. This is something I'm really not at all clear about, with regards to this site. It seems the consensus is that ones sex life is over once erection quality is compromised. I actually did masturbate about 10 days after. I had been religious in doing the ice packs and by day 5 I was using the shower. By day 10 I could soak in the tub which was a nice change from the ice. I am not sure what horror stories you have read or heard. Yes, infections are generally the number one cause for problems. IF, and I say IF your doctor does everything correctly, there shouldn't be any problems. I have had an implant for almost 27 years, with 5 revisions. The revisions were not from anything the doctor did. In 1991, 1992 and in 2000 AMS had serious pump failures. My first implant was due to pump failure off the get go. My second was my insurance would only pay for the lesser inflatable model from AMS and that device was a piece of crap, bringing me to revision number 3 and fighting with my insurance to pay for it. They caved and that implant did last just over 8 years when again the pump failed. You must understand I was taking "T" and my "T" levels were that of a teenager running a 1,000mgs or higher. My 4th lasted just over 9 years and pump failure was the cause.

YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS: I was using my implant at least everyday and the weekends I might use 5 to 6 times. IN SHORT with AMS's pump problems and I guess heavy use or a combination I just wore the damn thing out. LOL

NOTE: You need to always use lube and be generous with it. Not having sufficient lube causes a number of problems. If you will search for ALL my post you will gain more facts about my history with implants. I have learned SO FAR that I have had an implant longer than anyone on FT thus far. With my own medical knowledge, research, working with many doctors, in the hospital working in OR, ER and wards I believe gives me some advantages here. You say Ams' pump is not realiable. Your pump has failed after 9 years. I have read about utents with Titan' pump failed after only 3 -4 years.
I dont believe Titan pump is more durable than ams. this my thought.

Masturbation has never been a problem, and my wife and I could always make each other cum with other activities. It's just intercourse that I couldn't do without an erection, and we really missed that. But it is back now!

I had 4 AMS implants. The first lasted only 9 weeks as my doctor didn't want to do the surgery any sooner. I did have 2 that went longer, the 3rd, just over 8 years and the 4th just over 9 years. I have had my Titan 3 years and it seems just fine. A representative FROM AMS told me they had pump issues but they had solved the problem. Considering something I just read from a different post, if a doctor is going thru your Scrotum I would have serious questions. In some study late today I will have to eat some crow here about going thru the Scrotum. I leaped when I should have walked around. I will never say I am perfect. My last revision was just about 3 years ago and the doctor who did that one went in the same way the other 4 had been done just about 1 inch above my dick. This gave ample room to work. As for a scar, my bush covers that nicely and even it didn't I already have so many scars I doubt one more would be noticed. The military has a way of doing that in a war NO let me rephrase: a police action. I would read the post about all the swelling and the pain, which made no sense except on my 5th revision with a major infection. The doctor is using the most sensitive area to do his work. Without the implant pumped, I still can get a semi erection and can masturbate. But every man is different. Some have thick wall penises, while others do not. That is why some have smaller cylinders but great girth because their penis has been exercised through out the years and have gotten thicker walls. Exercising the penis makes it bigger.

My biggest surprise with my implant, which I got 8 months ago, is how good it feels for everything. Sex, wanking, just sitting around hard. Even flaccid feels great because flaccid with an implant I'm much stiffer than the old flaccid.

IMO, jacking with a flaccid implant is better than using trimix was before. Trimix always made my penis feel a little unnatural. It made sex possible, but didn't really have the feelings it should have. Meanwhile, masturbation with an erect implant is outstanding. I do find that backing off from being pumped up as hard as possible helps a little, however. Not sure why.
