5 1/2 WEEKS POST -OP

Postby rusty3987 » Fri Feb 08, 2019 8:36 pm

Have not cycled as of yet, still have burning sensation along both side of penis occasionally... thought that would be gone by now !! Have any of you experienced that ?
Also I think my implant has shifted , it feels like the pump may be on the top and release valve on the bottom, but not sure as i have not cycled yet. Has anyone
had that happened to them

Thanks
Rusty

How soon is your next follow-up with your surgeon?

Have you called the Patient Liaison? He has more time to answer questions like these than your surgeon.

I'm right behind you (4 1/2 weeks post op), have not yet started cycling, and still get some burning sensation. I am thinking it has to do with the relatively stiff Titan tubes bending and flexing in my penis in its deflated state.

It me on my revision six weeks before the doctor gave me the green light to start pumping it up and start gently stroking it. I did have a little pain at first, but it gradually went away. Usually you can start the cycling after four weeks, but being a diabetic it took longer for the incision to heal up.

Be sure to sorta pinch the scrotum so that scare tissue does not attach itself to the pump, and if the pump is too high, pull it down gently so that it can float at the bottom of the scrotum.

I took too long before I started the pinching of the scrotum and I know I have one testicle that attached itself on the MS pump. I was suppose to have the MS pump R&R this morning, but the doctor postponed the surgery because he claimed I had an infection which showed up on the culture test. So he prescribed some antibiotics. He did not want to take a chance on me getting an infection.
