Any information on using rings with an implant would be great.
I hate soft glans, feels rubbish for both partners.

Yeah but how can you know that in the context of having an implant?

That would be an entirely different feeling.

I lost glans engorgement before I lost cavernosal engorgement. Could feel the hard tubes of my naturally engorged cavernosal bodies under a soft glans. Could still have sex. But it wasn't as good for either. I had much less sensation and she was less stimulated.
We need to come up with ways of dealing with it. Creams rings meds. Guess it depends on the reason for ed. Ring works for me. With the implant the is no reason I can think of why it wouldn't work as long as the tubes are not compromised.

Defiant,
There are 3 different chambers inside of your penis. Two of them primarily engorge the shaft and keep the glans erect. The 3rd engorges your glans. That 3rd one houses your urethra and is not affected by the surgery. The other 2 are pretty much gutted. If you have a huge glans before implant then after your body recovers from the trauma (let's say 6 weeks) you should have the very same engorgement of the glans as before surgery. I use mild vacuum therapy daily to increase my blood flow and help my glans engorgement. Blood flow is the key. Of course leakage is also a huge factor. Mine is pretty bad but I still can hold a chubby glans. Hope this helps.
What these guys are talking about is a super hard cock which has no glans engorgement. It is very rough on both you and your partner. They need to soft inflate for sex and start vacuum therapy to help out. Some of them simply have not recovered from the overall trauma of implant surgery. All of them get better as time passes.

Hi titanmaster, Vitaros 300 cream looks very interesting. A quick Google search shows that it contains 300 mcg alprostadil in 100 mg of cream. However, all the sites that sell it are in the UK. Any hints on how to get it in the US?
Thanks,
Mike

Superficial vein ligation helps with glans engorgement.

Best,

Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear it’s hard to get hold of over in the states.
I’m not sure if you can get it from this website (not sure if they deliver to the USA?) but I first bought it here before I got it prescribed by my dr.

https://www.treated.com

Think it’s a uk site so not sure. There must be guys on here that have used it though as I thought it was well known now and assumed it was over there first. But maybe not :-/

Hope this helps!

Defiant, just send me a PM if you want to discuss more in detail.

But what I can say is this:
I am lucky to have very good glans engorgement. My glans gets very hard. It is impossible for me or anyone else to feel the tips in my glans when I am aroused.
However, after I orgasm, it fades and if I have sex again shortly after my orgasm, my glans will only be semi-filled. Still not totally soft, but as I said, semi-filled. So I guess still better than for many implanted guys who gets no glans engorgement at all.
But, even at my semi-filled glans level, I notice a huge difference in feeling when having sex compared to when my glans is super-engorged. It just doesn't feel as good or even as comfortable.
So I think this is a big issue.
If my glans stopped getting blood filled, and I was stuck with the semi-fill or even worse for the rest of my life, I would definitely consider Viagra.
Simply because having sex with a blood filled glans is so much better than with a soft glans.

But of course, if my two options were no sex at all, or sex with an implant-hard shaft and a soft glans, I chose the latter.

For me, my glans only gets quite hard as i approach orgasm.
The ridge from the glans does indeed seem to be very pleasurable for women.

Here are my opinions:
#1 "Glans and my personal enjoyment of sex"
ANSWER: the tips of my cylinders go quite distant into my glans, so it is well supported. Sex is equally pleasurable for me regardless if my glans is soft or hard.

#2 "Woman's opinion regarding glans firmness"
ANSWER: I do not know for sure. I have a feeling that women like a big hard glans, but I am not sure that this is a deal maker or a deal breaker.

#3 "ability to penetrate with a soft glans"
ANSWER: I have no trouble whatsoever penetrating even though my glans might be soft (because my cylinders go well into the glans to support it)

#4 "necessity of using something to engorge the glans"
ANSWER: I perfer to 'travel light' so I have not stressed on using cock rings (though cock ring makes my glans awesomely hard and big -- but not worth it to me personally) nor do I want to restart viagra (really, the spontaneity and freedom from headaches side effects due to taking a drug are nice to be free from) and similarly, I am not real keen on trying trimix gel or alprostadil gel (again, the point of the implant is to travel light and be ready for a sexual escapade in a nearby hall closet if needed) In other words, I am good enough with my cylinders--in my opinion, it is likely not necessary to go the extra mile of also having a super glans when I already have a super shaft that performs better than 90 percent of men anyway.

#5 "some discussion posts state sex is terrible without a glans"
ANSWER: I disagree. Sex is great with the implant even when my glans is soft. Sex is just great. The word "terrible sex" would never have crossed my mind. Having Erectile dysfunction and trying to have sex---that is terrible. Having an implant and having vigorous sex in many positions for as long as you both want -- that is devine and star-like. Please note, if your implant is not sized correctly, that is, too short for your penis, then you will have a floppy glans that is not supported by the cylinders. Yes, that can be a problem, and men who have been undersized should go find an expert to do a revision so that the cylinders fully support the glans. My suspicion is that those men who state"terrible" are the group that got an undersized implant. Moral of the story, go to a first glass surgeon.

In summary, if your implant is sized correctly, then the soft glans is not really an issue. I believe that this is a self confidence thing. "You have a great shaft that can last hours" "own it and go forth with confidence" this is not the sex olympics.

Tangerine

PS: always remember, implants do have issues, but , wow, it is still 1000 times better than trying to have sex with a limp impotent dick.

Hi tangerine,

Do you have any tips or advice for using a ring with your implant?
Did you ever have any issues?
I'm going for implant soon and really hope to be able to use one for the glans. :?

There is a post by Weezer about not being able to get a ring to the base due to implant tubes.
:(

i re-invigorated another thread where cock rings were discussed quite a bit (for me, I can use a ring, but I do not because my shaft is plenty good enough)

Regarding the potential for tubes to get in the way, I have started a new threadsince this is an interesting question which might have differing answers depending on if your incision was above or below the penile shaft (Infrapubic versus peno-scrotal)
