Just had fourth revision since 2013!

Postby Raptorpilot » Sat Feb 02, 2019 11:51 am

Hello brother bionic dicks!
Just had my fourth revision since 2013, all with Coloplast Titan 22cm with 1 rear tip ext on each tube. This time under advice of Dr. Eid and Dr. Shawn Blick from Phoenix who did the surgery, I went with the older more reliable Genisis pump instead of the OTR. I had the surgery on Jan 29 just a few days ago and I am up and running with no issues at all and loving life again. Dr Blick was an amazing surgeon and just made a small (5 staple) incision just above my shaft intrapubic, with no scrotum incision. What a difference in recovery! I never had to take any pain meds other than a total of 6 ibuprofen the first two days. Very minor swelling in my sack that is getting better every day. Dr. Blick was not only great as a Surgeon, but also gave me a great price of $8,500 with coloplast covering the equipment!
Please contact me with any questions, as I owe this site a great deal for the information provided over the years.
58 & married. Titan implant in 2013 by Dr. Garber. 2014 1st revision done by Dr. Garber with Titan again. Third revision done with Dr. Kramer in August 2017 with Titan. 10/10/18 third Titan failure. Now in the process of setting up a fourth!

I’m sorry to hear about the need for this many revisions in 5/6 years. But I’m glad you’re up and running now.

May I ask what effects (if any) this many revisions in such a short space of time has had on your penis and life in general.

Also, may I ask why you’ve been so unlucky? These things should last 8-15 years and to have that many early failures just seems like incredibly poor luck.

Hope this one stays the course!
37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

Dr Perito used the Genesis pump for my last revision too.... Here's hoping we both go a long time on "this equipment"....

That's what Dr. Kramer told me too... 90% of his revisions are on the Titan. :)

Meaning Titans are bad products then and if a man wants any semblance of true longevity and functional reliability with a penile implant he should go for an AMS?

I’ve always been drawn to the descriptors of the Coloplast product (Titan) so this is disappointing for me to read. :(

I am sorry. I have never even seen a Titan up close and I have no personal opinion on it... I am simply saying what one of the big 4 told me. :)

until now never problem with my titan. 75 different women, rough sex. but I have heard and read of so many titan failures. Although I think a lot depends on the skill of surgeon who installed. My tubes ere well hidden behind the balls, therefore they are less predisposed to suffer trauma during intercourse. it may be that it serves to maintain a long-lived implant
Sorry for my bad english

I would say don‘t blame the Titan but the surgeons. Either they are not the best in their field or they don‘t know how to handle the Titan.
