Still Deciding?

Postby Vagabond127 » Tue Jan 29, 2019 1:13 pm

This is not a question but more of a post for guys still deciding. I hope I can help SOMEONE with their decision like so many guys did for me.

First is the most common piece of advice- GET IT! Coming from a guy who researched the hell out of it I wish I had done it sooner. All the trips to Dr. Eid (luckily I am only 3 hours away from his office). All the threads/questions and answers. The FT pictures. In my defense though I had personal problems I was dealing with and I simply was not ready. That's where my advice comes in. Try to get to the READY stage as quick as you can.

One of the concerns I had was the REPLACEMENT. Well when the time comes there may be a better replacement out there. If your trusted surgeon has moved or has retired trust that your surgeon will recommend just as good as of a surgeon as he/she. And insurance will pay for it.

I sincerely hope I helped out SOMEONE.

Deciding what to do about E.D. (or any weighty decision) is highly personal and unique to each individual. Encouragement such as this is very helpful. Thank you.

Decision trees help, being able to talk to someone you trust (even if they cannot give advice, just putting one's questions and concerns into words helps refine one's thought processes) and, of course, research on the internet and support groups.

Even just putting your thoughts into writing in a personal journal helps.

So, the guy that was implanted 10 days ago, is still recovering from surgery, hasn't yet used the device (if following doctors instructions) and doesn't know with certainty what his outcome will be is encouraging others to rush their own decision making process because it's so great. Something's wrong with that picture.

Don't misunderstand me. I think implants are wonderful inventions in the medical field. I have no reason to doubt that getting an implant was the correct decision for the OP. He certainly used the most respected doctor in the field. But he's not yet in any position to be touting it's success.

I do get the emotional relief the OP is experiencing now that the extended decision making process he went through is finally over and irreversible. The stress of making that decision is gone. I also understand that advocating for others to make the same important decision you might have made can help validate one's own decision.

Other than possibly in his own personal case, the OP has no way of knowing if anyone's insurance will pay for their own for those contemplating an implant.

Again, not knocking implants. They are definitely a miracle-like treatment for many men. The premature advocating for others to take the leap just boggled me. Wait a month and then repost. It will have validity then.

Sorry, I'm not really trying to rag on you.

I made a snap decision. My surgeon is/was 3 hrs flying away. He did a fantastic job, I followed his instructions to the letter. I now have a cock that in a couple of ways is far better than my old natural floppy one ended up.
It looks and feels awesome and it stays hard for as long as I want it to.
Key points: if you have ED.....acting sooner rather than later may advantage your outcome; also, cycle, cycle, cycle.......for how long depends on each individual anatomy and implant.

bldoink-

My experience has been an especially pleasant one. Great surgeon. Quick recovery. NO pain in cycling. Already doing 40 FULL squeezes. Walking 2nd day. Swelling almost non-existent by taking a product called ARNICA. Look it up. Stitches coming out today. Girth is much larger than pre-implant. THANK YOU TITAN. Length is longer than before. THANK YOU DR EID.

Please do not try to tell me how MY recovery will be in a month. Maybe it's my age of 50. My health. My attitude. BUT I took the time to relay my GREAT experience. I hope you do the same. If your experience is not as good as mine share that too.

I've been reading the comments. I've talked to many great people on his site. But two issues are holding me up and I'm having a hard time coming to grips on this life changing event. many have had Ed for some time now. They unfortunately , had time to realize they had no choice. I'm still in denial. This has all been only 8 months. before that I had great erections and sex. A fracture took me down. So in 8 months we went from the PShot to pills and now injections....no results. The only thing left is an implant. This is all so fast. A change of life. I'm single and not married. Dating is a whole other issue. The other problem is I'm feeling like I'm going with the wrong Dr. The only ones I see are Eid and Kramer. There has been some nightmare stories with some of the surgeries ive read about from other surgeons. I have talked to some tremendous people on this site who spent hrs talking with me. To them I want to say thank you and because of you I'm getting closer to doing it

needhelp,

Why not ask your doc for some references (patients that have been implanted by him)

It really is a tough decision. Until I fell I got up whenever, wherever and stayed up pretty much till i wanted to stop. Literally f##### for hours/ Loved sex, period. Fell and went downhill. Urologists told me I was just old, retired for a while so must be depressed. Finally found one last fall who listened tested and ultrsounded etc, to check out things. so peyronies and venous leak. not good at all. i can still get a soft chub, never good enough for sex. curve is there but better. i am not injecting. I already have a propensity for peyronies so putting needles in my junk is not happening.

Been tractioning and ved for about six months. i hate doing both although it helped a lot. Curve is better and length is over 6 in traction and almost 6.75 in the ved now. will continue both up to implant.

I wanted to use Eid or Kramer but personal issues would not let me travel till 2020. So i found a local doc who at least makes me comfortable. Talked to their office today and if insurance approvals go okay, plan on scheduling for march 8. Will see how it goes. If it does not go so good, next year I will see eid or Kramer. either way I am not shrinking back down to the 5.5 i was last summer.

Life is a bitch sometimes. would have done this 2 years ago if one of my first urologists had actually done any tests and told me i leak out as fast as it goes in. would have had it done before peyronies showed up and could still get a pretty good 7 inch soft chub. it went downhill all around after the fall. personal decision and hard but i would not have waited till i shrunk smaller and smaller. Just hope my 6 stretch equates into nice titan. revision in the future should get me back to my 7 and at least 6 inch girth.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.
