My Surgeon has recommend I consider replacing my AMS CS with a Coloplast Implant. He says it will increase my length by 1 in and also increase my girth also with improved rigidity. My wife is not satisfied with my current length. One on my cylinders sets slightly off to one side and back. My surgeon says he will fix this problem also.
I am not sure it is worth the pain an suffering and infection risk.

Has anyone made this change??

What was your experience?

I changed my AMS to a Titan 15 months after I got that pathetic scrawny AMS. Gained 2.5 cm in the process plus a lot of the girth back. To me, all AMS is good for is a comfortable flaccid. Otherwise they suck.

Maybe for you... not for me. I get hard as a rock and when I'm done and deflated I have a limp noodle.

My initial reaction is if your wife supports it go for it!
I do have a question though. Does your wife want more girth, more length or both.? If more girth is important then the Titan is your choice Beyond any question. It starts with more girth then the LG X or the CX will ever achieve in their lifetime. The LG X can gain about an inch and a half in two years. So if you've got an extra inch I have to assume you've had your implant for a while. If one more inch is fine and you don't expect any more then the Titan is perfect fit. But if you'd like to keep growing you're going to need another LG X.
it sounds to me like you and your wife are going to be happy with a much larger girth and an extra inch. So the Titan is a perfect fit. As long as you don't mind having thicker cylinders that aren't as soft when flaccid then you have your answer

I infer from various mentions that the Coloplast depends on an intact and healthy Tunica Albuginea (other than the Corpora Cavernosum) for the girth, as it can expand girth-wise to the limit of the Tunica.

But the inferences are largely from anecdotes and casual references that cannot be plumbed.

Can anyone comment?

There are many pros and cons in both implants. You can read about many experiences with AMS and Colaplast.
It's what will work best with your anatomy.

Yes, my third revision was a Coloplast and I am far more happy with there unit than with the AMS 700 I had for just over 20 years. With the AMS I had very little girth and I lost right at 1 1/2 inches in length with the AMS all because they don't accommodate much over 6 1/2 inches. They use extensions which attach to the end of the cylinders and thus their unit doesn't afford the stiffest pecker in the world. I had to work with my last AMS till the VA could get me in for a replacement and my sex life did suck. I always had a partial hardon, bigger than soft but never stiff enough for real heavy action.

The head gets tricky with the cylinder as they are rather pointed. I would like to know how your doctor is going to fix this problem without removing more tissue from the shaft. What happen to make yours prude strangely at the end is your first doctor didn't remove tissue straight. The more tissue that is removed the less natural your device will feel. My first doctor believed in leaving as much tissue in the shaft as possible so that mother nature could give you some assistance by carrying some blood to the glands. I have a small problem with one tip that sticks out just slightly. With my new Cololplast I just don't pump as tight as my doctor allowed. This softens the end slightly, and with a very small amount of Viagra makes my mother nature work. No 2 dicks are alike and thus an implant is slightly tricky at times without an experienced doctor. I had 2 AMS units and you need to remember that in the late 70's there wasn't much to choose from. I believe size is way over rated when it comes to penis size. If you stop concentrating on how big you are and take what you have and learn to use it I always had a good old time. YES, I wasn't all that happy that I lost some in length and most of all girth but I had a dick that wouldn't fail and something that made my Mr. Happy, HAPPY. I was married to a woman who didn't care for my implant and the main reason was it wasn't natural. We talked and I didn't just do this for me but for the 2 of us. After all the after effects of surgery she informed me I could make it hard and I needed no help. WOMEN!!! Our marriage ended, times had changed for the better where gay was far more accepted and I am yet to have an unhappy male partner.

Yes you keep saying your (and all) AMS is rock hard.
However, science, doctors and empirical evidence say the Titan is harder.
You also keep saying people should go to their local doc even though research has proven large difference in success between high volume doctors and low volume doctors.

Do you only read what you want? I am getting tired of you snipping at me. My AMS is plenty hard enough for sex. I could not care less which one is harder, that is NOT the issue... Both are hard enough to get the job done. As for high volume surgeons, I have spoken to the 3 top US and 1 top CDN surgeons and EVERY ONE OF THEM say that there are great surgeons all over the world and there is no need for people to fly half way around the world to get a great implant. You know that because \I have said it at least three times since speaking to the last one - Dr. Kramer. If you cannot keep a civil tongue with me, I will be forced to ask Paul to take further steps to stop it.

I am quite certain my tongue was civil. Unless it is uncivilized to state an opinion different than yours.
