stretch test vs injection to find implant size

injections for whatever reason only give me about 5 1/2 inches, stretch test and pumping give me about 6 1/2 inches. i see a lot of docs use an injection to measure the size of the erection to determine size of the implant. that's not good for me. can docs go strictly on stretch? seems this would be the most consistent. I get varying results on pills and injections.

I see in your signature that you are on TRT. Doesn't TRT work for you ED?
If ED still exists, maybe talk to your doc about changing your TRT regime first before going into an implant?

Hi, I truly understand your concerns, you are very young and every centimeter is important. I have received my implant on October,15,2018. I chose the AMS 700 LGX. It has been beneficial in both length and girt . During the surgery AMS provides a surgical nurse to be in the operating room with the doctor. The doctor inserts a small round ruler into the chambers and measures the length plus the distal length. The purpose of the surgical nurse/ field rep is that AMS goes the extra mile in patient satisfaction and the ensure maximum benefit of the implant. I do recommend finding a top penile surgeon in your area, call for a consult. I went to my urologist with a page of questions. it is good to be prepared. He then did a stretch test. the stretch test is only an approximation to show you what you might expect. The final measurement comes during surgery. My flaccid length doubled from before surgery. My erect length is also longer. I have not measured recently. PM me I will show pics and answer any questions. good luck

The only test that matters is the internal measurement the surgeon makes at the start of the surgery. The results of external tests - stretching, injection, whatever, are irrelevant.

Thanx dg_moore. A concern from me (and maybe also from addige) is that during the operation the penis smaller is due to the stress and so the implant will be undersized. My stretchtest during the consult was 6! cm (2,25 inch! ) shorter then when i'm doing a stretchtest at home in relaxed state.
