It is important to take into account how differently we heal. Although I have a high pain tolerance, I bruise easily and developed a hematoma when I tried to cycle early. I watched the video of my surgery. I can not imagine a better job. I was instructed to wait til 8 weeks post op to try cycling again. It all worked out perfectly. Nearly two years now and I can pump to the max. I am as big as the cylinders can possibly make me.

My point is that we are all different, and I believe that if you get a good surgeon, it really makes no difference how long you have to wait to cycle the first time so long as you continue to do it daily and stretch once you get started.
