I thought life expectancy was about 15-20 years with the new models.

Being 37 an implant would mean multiple studies..deformities.. infectiond money..I should stick with injection I guess as long as they last ...or take the risk of getting an implant if the result is good in would surely improve my quality of life but face unnatural disabled sex and multiple surgiries. For young people I guess if pills are working or injections are working implant should be the very last resort...I had a good postion based VL...went for vein stripping thinking I can get an implant done if it dosent work but stupidest mistake ..My research on implant shows the life time is mostly 5 years that is if you have a good outcome from surgery ..I was I a much better postion should have stocked with pills much more..
I also think everyone with an implant also has a morale responsibility not to promote implants as bring better than matual sex ever..the complications are much more the benefits for young people

I get where you’re coming from but I think you should do some more in-depth research and talk to successfully implanted people. Also, you have to remember that if your primary source of information are internet boards like these, then of course you’ll be likely to find a substantial amount of people with concerns/complaints/malfunctions etc.

Studies have shown that 87% of implants are still active at 15 years. Implants also have the highest satisfaction rate of any ED intervention and from my chats with implanted men; young, middle-aged and old alike, they report that everything is pretty much as it was before with perhaps some minor loss in length, sometimes a little sensation loss but by and large it looks and feels the same.

You gotta stop hating on the implant, man. It won’t leave you ‘deformed’. And infection rates are amongst the lowest of any surgery.

Someone back me up here.
37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

There is not a single member that has the infection/sepsis history that I do. I HAD ED and it was ruining my life. Pills worked for a while, the injections worked sometimes but the medication burned going in and hurt like heck after it was in and by that time the "urge" was seriously. The implant saved my mental health, my marriage and basically, my life. I love my implant and wouldn't change ANYTHING. Sorry if you disagree... this is my opinion of my life. When I offer my opinion to members on here it is just that, my opinion. :)

I just got my implant. I would like to think I will stay on this site and return some of the good advice I’ve received from members. But to be here for 10 years, I doubt it.

We're in a grim situation. We're not going to be what we were, and that's it.

Implants do seem to last much longer than 5 years though, from my research. As long as they are installed well.

We have the advantage of being much younger too, our bodies will adapt better, we're healthier.

Satisfaction rates are very high when things are done well. We only seem to get bigger with each revision. There was a study on this, I can't remember. It was peer reviewed and credible.

We won't be deformed. Things tend to shape up well with time. Very few say that an implant is noticable.

And it works. Rock hard. That's what they care about most. What choice do we have?

So, we're in a grim situation, things will never be as good as they were. Risks involved, it will be traumatic. But things do look pretty good overall.

I think ringo1 speaks from depression. I know I have. I will again. But i do think he is a bit hyperbalic. An implant isn't perfect, it's not going to be as good as what we were once. But it's pretty good.

Yes I am depressed after my stupid vein stripping which has left me totally impotent and damaged my penis and still have a lot of pain even after 1 month of surgery have doubts i am damaged so much that an implant can't be installed...I fully know that the implant is the way forward for me
My only intention behind this post was to actually see if there are guys others which have had implants for over 10 years...if I had it for such a long time I would still stick around and boast about my successful outcome...so the feedback speaks for itself 10 years is a pipe dream marketing tactic..5 years maybe as guarteneed by Dr.eid

I know.lifes not perfect in a perfect world ED wouldn't have exsisited I seriously hope i had cancer or anything other than this at least I could get married and share my grief with others around u..rather than suffering in silence ..so ft brothers I share it with u all.....I was suppose to get married to the girl of my dreams next month called it off ...I know if somebody loved u they'll understand but I don't wanna put her through this all of her life...me getting sugries again and again...well I just wanna heal and get along with my career for now had a six figure salary before this ED started..implant may be the only solution for me but ifnthat fails which now the chances are much more... but will I have a joyful life after it ...I doubt it..so why get it in the first place..before this vein stripping I did it only to avoid the implant and after this surgery I am sure I am too damaged for it...price of being over smart...And most of all I could perform 7 out of 10 my Alpa male mentality made me look for perfection....
37 yrs...ed due to single episode of trauma...had penile vein stripping... worst outcome ever..now trying towards an implant

First off, there are no guarantees.

Secondly I’ve read peer-reviewed studies as to the longevity of implants. 10-15 years is what is quoted and the stat of 87% still functional at 15 years is scientific fact. Peer-reviewing ensures fairness.

I get you’re depressed. But please stop saying what is frankly tantamount to BS and scare-mongering.

I can think of several people whose implants have surpassed 5 years. My own urologist quoted me 10-15 but as I’m younger and may use it a LOT, he said it may only be 8. And this was as part of a public health system. Law dictates ‘Duty of Candour’. IE, they must tell the truth. Or face losing their registrations.

It’s a device and will quit working when it quits working.

I had a LGX for 8 years. I had it replaced with s Titan this year. I could have chosen to just stay with the LGX. Longevity was great. You can PM me if want more details. I am willing to talk on the phone.

10-15 years for a 3pcss implant is jus a pipe dream for a mallable that is possible..for the 3pcs 8 years for soemone younger like us maybe.. the guantess from established surgeons like EID is 5 years and that 5 years is a guartnee if something goes wrong the replacment would be done free of charge....i went into strippign surgery thinking that implant would be the next choice..but i just wanna tell folks who can perform with pills or injections ..stick with it ..surgery is serious business is not like just going to a dr and comming out..on the internet implant is portrayed as if it is even better than natural sex ...bettter then pills..there is a website of an implant manufacturers that compares the cost of viagra/cials to the implant being better economically WTF....
i was sso hooked to the concept of having an implant solve my Ed that before the vein stripping i though eassy peezy if this doesent work i can switch to th implantt..i got the funds i can do anything...now i beleive how stupid is the idea..i am not here to scare anyone..but the people who can perform with pills / injections commign here to find a curre..my advise would be stick with the pills as long as you can cassue the life of an implant is 5 - 8 years ...this part of the implant life is not dicussed as much as it should be beofre it is considred an option..for older guys above 50 yes its a good option but for young guys liek us who can still perform with pills or injectiion implant should not be offered at all bby that i mean the concept shoudl not be placed in their minds at all..they shoudl be forced to work witht he pills /injetions
37 yrs...ed due to single episode of trauma...had penile vein stripping... worst outcome ever..now trying towards an implant
