You don't need a top surgeon!!!
You just need a surgeon that knows what he or she is doing and knows what the patient needs that best fits him!!

AMEN Brother!! "Top Surgeon" is a personal preference and opinion. Anybody that had a good experience is going to say that they had a Top Surgeon and who's able to argue the point? :)

Larry

Exactly My point!!!

The other thing that is getting missed is the number of Urology Residents that studied under the "Top Surgeons". Once retirement gets ahold of them, "studied under" will have to be as good as the real deal. :)

What is a top surgeon? A subjective label which means different things to different people using it.
Maybe different people need different things.
Maybe is it not only with implants that people settle for different standards and have different requirements on what success is.
Some hire any half-fat moron who works at a gym and calls himself "PT" to get in shape. Some find the best one who looks like he talks.
Some take any shit job with any shit salary and are still happy. Some study for ages and aspire to only work for the best employers with the highest compensations.
And I could go on forever.
Same here. Some go their local guy who seems like a nice guy and some travel over the world to find the one they THINK has the highest probabliltiy of giving them a perfect outcome.
We just set different standards for ourselves in life. And with our dicks.
And of course, there is nothing wrong with that.
We're all just different.

Top surgeon does boob jobs. Bottom surgeon is a proctologist.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

My first implant was a complete botch job. The surgeon was way in over his head. He should have just sewn me back up and said, too much scarring, I can't do this. But no... retrospect, getting an infection 6 days out was a blessing.
He removed the implant and never saw him again!
A year later, my second surgeon was much more realistic. He placed a CX but due to the scarring, left the tips below the glans. He warned me this would probably be the case. The goal was to get the cylinders in and combat the scarring and bend that I had going on. He to give it at least a year and then we could discuss a redo and get the tips into the glans. Its been 3 years and I'm still debating, deal with the floppy head or go through all that all over again.

I don't know if another surgeon would remove and replace yours in one surgery, but better to at least get it out before it causes any permanent issues.

Diabetic: used pills & injections.
2 TURP surgeries caused Peyronie's. 1st implant lost to infection, 2nd one is about 5 years old. But "floppy head" due to all the scar tissue, couldn't get tips all the way up.

This really is a tough decision to be faced with. It seems there are so many parts to it. For me, for personal reasons, I want to have my surgery done the first week of March at the latest. I want to have it done with Kramer but logistically could not get to baltimore until October. My wife just does not entertain traveling that soon after her surgery. She also does not want me doing it without her. I am not waiting until October. So my biggest mistake ever might be scheduling my implant with a surgeon 2 hours away who does 1.5 a week. He will put in a titan. Says all the right things. Tells me my size will be a minimum of the 5.5 I have with the trimix. Probably a little more since the trimix did not get me fully hard. I should gain some more with cycling over next year. Prefers to use only 1 rte and is a follower of the NYC dr. Also uses scrotal incision.

I just do not want to wait any longer than I have to. I want to get this done and will have to hope all goes well. If not I guess a revision could be done later in the year. Biggest mistake or success, time will tell. So realistically a lot of factors in this decision. Luck to us all.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

I have a suggestion. Buy a vacuum pump 2 1/4" cylinder and open up your chamber into your glans. With good pressure it should take 2 months. Maybe less. Your penis will balloon all the way up to our glans . Then you are ready for surgery and it should be a cake walk to reach in deep this time. Worked for me triple spades.

I really feel your pain sounds just like me. I wanted this badly my first uro dumped me after approving implant surgery. Said I gave him bad vibes. Was scheduled for number 2 in my open window before my wife went back to work. But that guy could not promise me 4.5" so cancelled and got another surgery date from the guys who screwed me up. Yes there were warning signals but by now I was desperate. Word of advice. Don't be desperate it will cloud your judgement.

Another word of advice pick a good reputable doctor with experience and don’t micro manage him.if you do and you don’t trust and listen to his instructions then your not going to get a good outcome.
