Pee spraying after catheter use?

So I had catheter removed this morning at Day 4 (Day 1 being the day of the implant surgery).

Since its removal I've been peeing towards the right and spraying a lot (.. quite a messy floor in my bathroom) - which I didn't do before surgery.

Wondering if this is a common after-effect for people after catheter removal, and if it's then a short or long-term problem?

Other possibility is this spraying may have been caused be some sort of urinal stricture caused by the dilation process during the surgery, in which case guess I'm going to have to live with this being irreversible now?

Yup, I had that problem. I drilled a hole in a plastic bottle, lined the hole with duct tape. Stuck willy in and no problem. Sitting was not possible since I was inflated.

Mine went in all directions. I used a quart canning jar for 4 weeks. My doc had me pumped up 80%. Had to hold the jar in front of my hard dick for 4 weeks. When sitting on the toilet trying for a BM and pee would shoot across the room. It gets better soon. It can't get no worse. It gets more natural feeling as time goes by. Great to be using it again.

Why not sit down to pee?

The big problem is when I go to a concert or hockey game or whatever and at intermission, or between periods, I get in line to pee. When a urinal comes open you just have to take it and then pee all over myself. I will now wait for a toilet so that everyone thinks I need to go number two and then are done in a minute or two.

If pain allows, try spreading the glans at the urethra opening. I've had that issue since my urethraplasty. changing the hole opening shape helps me.
