Recommended post-op instructions for optimal benefits

Hey guys,

I see that several on this post have already had a Titan inflatable installed, I am pencilled in to have one done next month.

I wanted to ask people on this board, based on their experiences, what they consider the optimal post-care instructions for the Titan should be? For example:

1. Is it better to start inflating the Titan asap after the operation (in order to stretch the tissue out), or vice versa is it better to not give it any pumps at all a few weeks?

2. Is masturbation permitted in the days/weeks after the op? And would that masturbation have to be without use of the pump initially?

3. Does the penis need to be pointed up (behind the pants) while in the recovery period?

4. Boxer shorts or briefs? Which would be more comfortable / aid better recovery?

Everybody is different. Your surgeon will give you post op instructions. Follow those instructions. Should you have problems or questions afterwards, you will likely find the answers here.

Not sure what your doctors protocol is but I was implanted on Friday Titan 20CM 1 cm rte I’m going to start cycling in the bathtub tomorrow.

No idea

The penis needs to be pointed up towards the umbilicus for the first couple of weeks to allow the pseudo capsule to form and your erection will be natural looking

4. Boxer shorts or briefs? Which would be more comfortable / aid better recovery?

Get some snug briefs and use some sterile pads to keep things up and comfortable then put on an athletic support to hold it all in. This may sound like a lot but if you have it up and directly against your body the hair that they shave off is like sandpaper on the very tender glands

At least according to Dr Eid masturbating is ok or having a hand job. No vaginal or anal sex nor oral. Completely different story is if you feel like doing it. I masturbated (after pumping it up) first time day six post op and tbh, it wasn't any pleasure. I did it day 8 and day 9 and it was a bit more pleasant.

Thanks guys and thanks for the suggestion Floppy.

Kent16 - you mention masturbation wasn't pleasurable at day 6 - is that you were still in pain in day 6? Has the masturbation become pleasurable again later down the line once the post-op pain does subside?

Day 6 it just felt strange since my own dick was not really any part of it, just dead skin around tube ((that's how it felt).

It is becoming more pleasant and I feel penis is starting, slowly, to feel alive again. But now on day 12 I had some blood in semen. Don't know yet if it is anything to worry. Positive is that i do want sex again about same as before. Since for cycling you need to pump it up so why not to masturbate, easier to handle the pain and Dr Eid said it is ok. It is definitely pleasurable again but less than before. But remember i am 12 days post op.

Some of the very first pieces of advice are;

- Get yourself some dried beans, peas, whatever (no popcorn)… put it in an odd sock and you have made a microwavable ice pack. Your first priority is to get the swelling down. It causes pain and makes cycling difficult because it hurts and you can't find the release button

- Find out how soon you can have a nice hot, soaker bath or use a heating pad but the bath feels better.

- Put Neosporin on the incision... it must be good stuff because I have had three different surgeons suggest it. It is easy to find at any drug store and is in inexpensive.

- Their is nothing manly about being in pain. Don't feel like you have to "tough it out". Take the pain meds that are prescribed. If nothing is, get extra strength Advil/Aleve.
