Thanks guys! I don't know about all that but I'm just happy to have what I have and it works! I just don't see a whole lot of journals that really show pre and post op in detail so I just wanted to be a good resource for guys considering an implant.

Purcelldds - Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience 4 years out after your IPP surgery. One thing really lacking on this forum is members sharing their longer-term follow up. There is plenty of short-term commentary before and after IPP surgery but the experience members have living with their IPP years down the line is even more valuable to those of us contemplating this surgery. I hope that you continue to check in periodically to let the rest of us know how you are doing. I am sure other would agree with me that the value of this information is immeasurable.

When the reservoir is close to the bladder, does that cause excessive urination? I seem to have a little of that happening. Also, does anyone know whether or not a tight wrap around the abdomen would help with the reservoir/ light lifting issues after surgery? I can really feel it when I just lift myself up from being seated

P just got implanted a few days ago. I want to add being able to read the level of detail and over the time period with a number of posts like you did is of great value. As a newbie it tells a start to finish story. More importantly it tells a successful implant surgery result story and also the happy wife /your sex life story. I wish more post implant people would start keeping / posting at least a 2 week very detailed daily journal on here and then add anything new that happens to at least 2 or 3 months out.

I’m getting intense bladder spasms so your posts were great info to read since you mentioned bladder discomfort if I followed it all correct

Hey guys,
I love all of the feedback and questions. I'll try to address the questions from the last few posts. During the first year really, I had a bunch of random pains for different periods of time. I was sore at the tips in the glans, I was sore in the perineal/ass area where the tips are based, my reservoir was sore and felt like it was protruding. This went on for longer than I felt like it should and I went back to my surgeon, even had a CT scan and everything looked ok. I was scared he oversized me and the thing was going to bust out. I decided to do nothing and everything eventually calmed down. But to this day I still know its "there" but it's not painful. I workout A LOT, and sometimes with certain movements like squats or lunges or cycling the pump annoys me and I can get a little sore down there. At this point I just consider that "normal".

As for sex and how often, I have put this thing to the test and it never fails me and more than gets the job done. I think I said in an earlier post, my wife and I have practiced an open marital arrangement so I have had the somewhat unique opportunity to test this thing in various situations and in every orifice. Since my surgery, which was 4 years ago today, I have had sexual intercourse with 15 different women, and yes my wife of 30 years knows about it. Of those women, I told 7 of them about the implant and 8 of them didn't know. Nine of the women I was with multiple times and had a relationship of sorts. Of the women I told, not a single one of them cared or made it an issue. They were to busy having orgasms! ;) Of the women I didn't tell, none of them noticed or said anything about it. What I have learned from this is that women are very understanding and empathetic about such issues and that while it seems in our minds the implant must be obvious, it's a giant leap for a woman to come to such a conclusion because they don't even know such a thing even exists. As long as they are into you and the sex is good, they simply don't care. They appreciate a guy who deals with his shit and fixes it. I have literally done my own split group study on this!

There are times when I feel like I actually have an advantage over natural men. I can focus on all of the other aspects of lovemaking without the fear of losing my erection. And the erection is just so damn hard. I'm an averaged sized dude but women always say, "you are so hard" and they love it. Having sex to orgasm 4+ times in a night in some cases. On one occasion 10 times with the same woman over a weekend. I thought my dick was going to fall off!! I'm not bragging here and I'm not lying, I'm just trying to point out just how good the implant can perform. So, in a way maybe I'm an extreme example. Regardless of your sex life, the implant will perform reliably when you need it for as long as you need it. Own it and be confident in that. It takes time in the beginning, it's a rough road the first 3-6 months after surgery but in the long run its worth it.

Initially I felt like I had to urinate more frequently with less volume and more difficult time completely emptying my bladder. It felt like the reservoir was pressing on my bladder competing for space. I didn't really have bladder pain or spasms so much but I definitely knew it was there. You are so soon after surgery so likely all of these things are just part of the trauma and healing process and will likely pass soon.
