I have no idea any more. Thought I had it covered before surgery then afterward that question changed almost weekly.
Guys, is there such a thing as the most important question?
I should have asked how many implants they did last year? Bragging that they did more than anyone else in the area. Well you're talking about only 2 or 3 people. So 10 per year could beat the others. I would have required at least 100. Had I asked that question probably would have kept looking. May have found Dr Carrion.Would have had a very different outcome.
My number one question before surgery was to show me how long I will be. That got rid of 3 immediately. My surgeon did deliver that. Grabbed my penis stretched it out and that is what I have.
I should have asked how he insures my tips would be even within 1 millimeter. Would have kept looking because my guy could not do that.
I did ask where they put the implant in. Through the scrotum was the right answer for me.
I have keloid disease so should have asked glue or stitches.
You other guys have an all important question?

In my opinion the most important question is how many implants the doc has done and over what period of time. Research clearly shows the higher the volume the better outcomes in terms of less infections, less revisions and less loss of size.

Reading the different reviews from each doctor is a good ideal also.

We will not ever get into doctor reviews on this site. It's outside the mission statement. It doesn't take much imagination to imagine the fights that would erupt. Also I do not want any guy saying I chose my doctor based on what I read on Frank talk. Each man is an adult who can do research and form his own opinion of what aspect of a surgeon is most important to him.
And Larry has nothing to do with this. This is my decision and the decision of the board of directors of the foundation that runs this site. Please don't attack Larry for a decision that is not his. We have had a problem with doctors planting members who advertised for them. That is why we have a low tolerance level for men who seem to be advertising for a doctor more than simply saying "I really like my doctor because of these reasons, and here's why they were important to me."
The mission of franktalk is to support men who have erectile dysfunction. The ultimate goal is to have men share their experiences so that other men can learn from them, understand they are not alone, and give them some guidance as to what they can do.

I chose my first doctor based on recommendations here on Frank Talk and regret it. Had I used the search and found all the bad reviews he had, I would never had done so. I did notice recently he had advertisement here. Information here was available for me to do my research. I am glad I am not now beginning to inquire about an implant since this now is a hand holding sing around the campfire feel good site; or that is the way I read Paul's comment above. Cheers

volume speaks for itself. A lousy job is mot going to attract new business. Just my opinion. But then again my guy bragged about having the highest volume around. Don't get me wrong excellent surgeon just a really really really bad implant-er in my opinion.

Last week I went to my 4th urologist surgeon. I actually felt better about this one. This one did not tell me anything like the others. Since I could trace my issues to a fall he asked if anyone had done an ultrasound or blood flow tests to see if there was a medical reason. Nope. He would not discuss any permanent changes to my anatomy until he made sure it was necessary. I do have peyronies and he did say the titan would fix my curve but did not get into any specifics until test results were in. 1st week of december for those due only to other personal issues on my part.

So for me. Most important question is. I am going to find a dr who makes me comfortable and answers my questions. All of them. If it gets screwed up what is he going to do to fix it. I am not talking size here. I am talking about an obvious bad job or infection. This new dr makes me feel comfortable but if it gets to point he thinks I need implant for a permanent fix and still will not answer my questions. I will see another surgeon. At least I will have tests done to show I cannot be fixed otherwise.
