Keep in mind that this is a 2 months perspective. If I still have an implant this time next year my glans and girth will have grown fatter. Right now all I feel is tips. My glans is skinny and long.
Let me put it this way. Last week I used a cock ring and there is no comparison to my size thickness feel or girth when I am VED engorged. At two months I still very much have a stick twiggy penis. And it is corkscrewed to boot!

I can no longer achieve a satisfactory erection by other means do don't feel I have a choice. But for everything to be so different. To lose length and girth, no full glans without rings.... It's everything you don't want to hear.

What choice do I have though. Wish the was a better solution to all this

Hi there, Beef...

PLEASE don't let Doug's interpretation and description change your thoughts or scare you off! While this is how Doug describe's his implant experience so far, notice how many others here don't see and feel it that way at all. And I'm one who wouldn't describe my implant experience even remotely similar to Doug's. This doesn't make either of us "right" or "wrong"... it's merely each one's personal experience and perspective. Doug and I have the same make and model implant (AMS 700 LGX) but who's to say what other similarities we share regarding cause of our ED; our particular bodies; surgeons' techniques, and on and on.

One BIG difference between Doug's and my implant surgeries is when we each had it done. I had my implant surgery in 2015. Doug's was just done two months ago. A LOT changes within just the first few WEEKS after surgery. Imagine what happens over months and years!

If I had posted my feelings (physical and emotional) at the two month point, I'd have a very different story to tell than I do now. Just my humble opinion but if I felt that the two-month-mark was everything I could expect of my implant, it'd be as if I was building a house and reported how disappointed I was with it. It was just a big basement hole in the ground and a concrete foundation. I was expecting walls and 4 bedrooms, living and dining rooms, and a kitchen! But all I got in two months was a hole and some concrete blocks!

So again, Beef... don't let one member's description dissuade you! Keep doing your research; ask ANY questions that come to mind; and lean on a few of us to share our various experiences. No two of us will be identical.

Hope this helps ~
Colin

Despite my minor problems I have no regrets, well I should have used Kramer. Or perhaps Carrion. With either of them I would be flying high now instead of sputtering on the runway.
Truthfully I spent so much time on the procedure that I missed knowing the most important part, the outcome on a day by day basis. It would not have changed my choice to have an implant but it would have tempered my expectations. I saw plenty of testimonials men much older than me saying that it was nothing at all. I tried to go back yo work just 6 days after because of what I would call super optimistic advertising.
You guys have consistently said be patient it takes time. I found none of that before surgery except from you. My fake world was shattered when I found out you were right. Still picking up those pieces.
Right now I am fully pumped for bed 6 1/8" long and a 5" girth. Could not want more. Very happy with that. And it will only get better!

Every surgery is different.

In my case, there was a huge amount of plaque from peyronies. My surgeon said I would be in a lot of pain for 3 weeks, he gave me a note for work for that. There was no way of knowing how bad the plaque was, until he got in there. I had no curve.

Although I’ve yet to put mine to the test, I feel very comfortable with my implant. I take a more holistic view of my penis. Sensitivity, engorgement, length, girth, and hardness are all components that make up the usable penis. Some have less sensitivity than others, some have no problems getting glans engorgement. See? Each of these domains is personalized for each one of us. I feel that the implant serves its purpose as it allows us to become erect, where we were difficient before. But all other domains remain in either a good way, or a lesser way. By no means is our penis dead! He is alive and well, a bit battered, a bit scorned, but ready to be used and loved!

OK. Uncle. I give. Actually I posted my comment as a positive remark. In a cutesy kind of way. I am coming closer to my old normal as in pre ED but I'm not there yet. Can't wait to be where you guys are now. Very excited to get there. My girth is now 5" and length max 6 1/4" . But I'm still very tubey so to speak. All in good time. Long live the penis!

DougAnd wrote:Like most guys I went into implant surgery expecting my dead ED penis to be revived like brand new. Testosterone, masturbation, pills, VED and injection had all failed. I did not know that a penile implant does not revive your penis, it replaces it. What you receive does not look the same, does not feel the same does not act the same, is not the same. It is a new virgin penis that at first has a smaller glans, a smaller girth and a smaller length. For months before and after surgery I agonized over my lost penis. Save yourself the grief. It's dead! Bury it, mourn it and move on. The new guy is just waiting to be used so that he can start to grow into some beyond your wildest imagination. Oh yeah!!!

DougAnd,
I agree with you about everything you said.
My situation at almost 6 weeks is way worst then yours.
I barely can reach 3 3/4 max inflated despite already cycling it for 4 weeks starting at day 12 post op. My penis doesn’t look normal, doesn’t feel normal, I still did not take it for test ride and I don’t know when I will feel okay to test it. My perineum is still painful to sit.
My tubing is skatered everywhere, wires in scrotum, wires around penis on both side, my pump was placed in my abdominal muscle just right of my umbilicus because of to much scar tissue formed after RP etc.
I feel my implant is total disaster and total failure.
