Two days until my transformation

Hello all. I've been viewing this forum for a few weeks now and this is my first post. I am scheduled for my implant at UT in Knoxville Oct 1 2018. I am getting the AMS 700 with MS pump i believe, least that was the one he had demonstrated to me. I am 48 yrs old, have had episodic ED for past 10 years. At times i could get it up without meds, other times i would only take about 50mg dose and be hard for hours. June 19 2017 changed everything for me tho. While having sex I felt I hit a rock wall, felt intense pain and got sick to my stomach. All i could remember was intense pain, and falling in the fetal position. When i awaken that next morn with "pee wood" i remember it hurting. I went to pee and it was the nastiest thing i've ever saw, like an eggplant with black and blue coloration. Anyways i researched on my phone and tried not to make much out of it then. Just went to the local pharmacy, bought some bruise cream, took some Vit E. After a couple weeks everything seemed back to normal, no swelling and color back to normal. When i had sex or "rubbed one out" i had pain, like stretching. Long story short, since i have been taking 100-120mg Sildenafil Citrate and was rx Penile Suppositories by the Urologist. Even with doubling up on both i was bale to attain half wood and it would go away after just getting started. Whats odd was that once i started loosing the wood i would go down on her orally and get it back going again all to loose it when we started intercourse. The surgeon has told me i have Peyronie's and venous leakage. I assume that with friction the blood seeps out of the cylinders and when i stop it fills back up? Anyways everyone here has been very helpful in your posts and i appreciate it. I will let you know how it goes in two days after my implant.

I am sure you will be just fine. It takes about four weeks after the surgery before you can start using it. At first you will feel a little tender, but it all goes away and you will enjoy sex just like a normal person. You are probably getting the AMS 700 LGX with a MS pump.
Good luck and apply cold packs on the scrotum after the surgery and recovering at home. The swelling and pain will start to go away after the second day.

Welcome to the fold! I had my implant surgery on 9/6. I feel my healing went quite well. It’s not really pain, you feel, it’s more of a pressure. My MD told me I can go back to work after 4 weeks b/c I have a labor intensive job. I’m just over 3 weeks and I totally could go back. Let us know how it goes! FT is much better when you are not a wallflower!

It doesn't really take that long to heal but here are a few suggestions;
- Ice several times a day (dried beans in an odd sock makes a great ice pack.
- Give it time. You will have tons of questions and concerns until things start to change for the better around week 3.
- Don't "be brave"... take the pain meds the doctor gave you. Being in pain is not manly, it's stupid when you have pain killers.
- Feel free to ask as many questions as you like. Just make sure you put them in the right topic and quickly scan, (or use the search) to ensure that the exact questions wasn't just asked recently.

Cold packs and stay ahead of the pain with meds, don’t wait for it to get bad and hold your surgeons feet to the fire. Most helpful thing to know is what to expect and this group has been way more helpful than any doctor for me.

Initially I thought I’d forgo the pain meds, I’ve never had a opiate in my life but after hearing from you all I decided I will take them. In a hotel room now with my wife anxious about tomorrow. I’ve gorged my gut today knowing I can’t eat after midnight until after the surgery. Forgot the ice packs at home and staying here tomorrow night as well but will drop by Walmart in morn and pick some up. Thanks fellers, I really appreciate the support! Holler at ya tomorrow after the surgery

Stay prone as much as you can for 3 days at least. Do not over do it walking around. You will go through stages. This wasn't too bad. Fuck $#it why the hell did I do this? All the sudden you will notice you were healing and it will seem like it happened when you were not noticing. Give it time. It goes faster than it seems at first. Cheers man and best to you.
