Before my implant I read about both brands, asked my doctor Dr Hakky, given my history and examination he said I would be happier with a CX, I would get both length and girth, he was right I love my implant, it looks and feels totally natural plus I have a lot of feeling and I’m easily aroused, wife could not be happier as I’m ready anytime anyplace

Also DR Hakky left decision up to me, he would go with a Titan or a CX, the CX would in his opinion be better than the LGX

DIFFERENT DEVICES ARE INDICATED FOR DIFFERENT PENISES AND SITUATIONS

I agree with my FrankTalk brethren who state that if you have a large penis or one that is curved, you should select the Titan. The Titan expands to a girth 17% wider than AMS, and comes in sizes larger than the AMS. There are videos on YouTube that show side by side smashing of the AMS and Titan, and the Titan is unquestionably stronger. The Titan's pumps have been shown in testing to be better as well. I agree with the reporting that the Titan, when fully inflated, does not feel entirely natural (a little too hard), but my penis went from a 30 degree curve due to Peyronies disease to being straight as an arrow, and it feels natural enough. The natural feeling can be increased by slightly deflating the device. A post-implant comment of a partner that did not know of my implant prior to us having sex was: "How many Viagra did you take?" LOL There are many reports of a flat penis on deflation using the Titan. While that is true if I completely deflate the device, I never completely deflate the device. One thing for certain. If you use the Titan, and keep it semi inflated most of the time with at least some fluid in the cylinders, your flaccid length will increase. That is both good and bad. The good part is that it looks big when you are flaccid. The bad part is that if you have a large penis, you have to hold it while sitting on the toilet, otherwise it will fall in the water.

Based upon my initial research, I originally selected the AMS LGX, but my doctor rejected my selection, because the AMS LGX was not strong enough to attend to my Peyronies curvature problems. My urologist gave me a choice: (a) AMS CX or (b) Titan.

While I have no first hand experience with the AMS devices, based upon my hundreds of hours of reading, here is what I have found: If you have an average size penis that is not subject to curvature, the AMS LGX appears to be the right choice. If you have curvature and an average size penis, AMS CX seems to be the right choice. Sufferers of Peyronies disease and those with larger penises, should consider selecting the Titan. It also should be noted that of the high volume implanters, over 90% of the implantations are Titans (which was a contributing factor in my choice of Titan).

That concludes my two cents.

Right on, Tourist100.

Cool! Where can I see them? Implanted in a penis or the naked implant? Can you post links?

I would be flattered (or perhaps insulted) if a sexual partner asked me, "How many Viagra did you take?" On the one hand, having been plagued by soft and collapsing erections for so long, that would be a compliment. On the other hand, her assuming I would need Viagra might leave me a bit miffed (even if it used to be true).

I, too did considerable reading (and communicating with a handful of surgeons, including the illustrious Doctors Eid and Kramer) and your conclusions are spot-on. Except that AMS does have about 70% of the market share according to the last report I had. So, statistically, if the high-volume implanters use Titan's 90% of the time, there must be a LOT of medium and low volume implanters using a preponderance of AMS devices. Don't know what conclusion to draw from that, as the research indicates satisfaction rates (both of patients and their sexual partners) and service life between the various devices are fairly comparable.

Mike (Mr stuby), I sincerely hope my post did not prompt yours. I NEVER meant to generate heat. Only discovery.

AMS vs. Coloplast is like Ford vs. Chevy
Who cares?!?!? At least we're still behind the wheel and drivin'.
I'm an AMS and Ford man myself but if you preferences differ from mine, so be it. Just as long as the Doc installs whichever brand correctly all is good.
I am happy I found this site and thankful for all the research and info others have posted on here. Made my decision making process much easier. Granted my Dr. only uses AMS but that's OK as I had already decided I wanted the LGX anyway so it all worked out.

Keep the info coming everyone and keep it civil. It WILL help out our future brothers make an informed decision.

Mostly the guy looking to GET am implant. Some patients let their medical team make all the decisions and that is fine. Some patients like to be part of the medical team and part of the decision making process. That is fine, too. Personal choice.

I am in the latter group, obviously. I selected my surgeon partly based on his acceptance of that concept.
