Just as there is a definite end to the space where the implant fits when your surgeon measures, there is a defined space that holds it in place.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

The implant cannot get out. It is in a capsule that is closed on both ends (the glans on one end and the end of the crus on the other). When inflated it is longer than the capsule that restricts it so it is anchored by its own over-sized length. Even when deflated it is longer than the size the flaccid penis would like to retract to. Scar tissue forms around the solid fixed end of the implant that is posterior in the crus.

The cruse is attached to muscles on the inside of your legs from your pubic floor to near your anus.
