venous leak or problem with tunica

Postby Savoie » Tue Sep 25, 2018 10:38 pm

As I contemplate an implant at 66 years old I wonder if there could be some other issue at hand. I have good blood flow into the penis as shown by a recent sonogram from a local urologist that specializes in ED. As always there are other views as this problem isn't completely understood.

Has anyone seen the following study and has anyone overcome a "venous leak" through PE, i.e jelqing, vacuum device etc.?

I have been in this business so to-to-speak for well over a decade. I know of no way to deal with venous leakage except a cock ring or some specialized vascular surgery which has mixed results.
Prostatectomy 2004-Bimix caused Peyronies-Viagra had little effect. Active sex life with wife of 50 yrs- been dependent on a VED for 10 yrs. 22cm Titan w/Dr. Eid Aug 7th See my Implant Journal -> http://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/board,56.0.html

Hawkman, are you satisfied with the implant you recieved?

It is the opinion of some that a venous leak is simply a catchall for ED, which is undoubtedly a complex issue and no gold standards and testing to rely on.

The Uro I went to is very successful at what he does and the procedure cuts to the chase, but obviously I am somewhat concerned about having a mechanical device and the unnaturalness of it.

Just a few years ago I could have erections and it felt good and wanted to have sex. Now, I am not sure I want to have sex any longer. I wonder whether my penile tissue will ever feel good again the way it use to but it may be better than what I have now.

The procedure the doctor does is through the pubic area. If the device is the right size I guess it would inflate the penis so there is the right amount of pressure on the nerves and make sex good again.

Thanks for your response,

Savoie, I am beyond satisfied. I have a journal on here on FT but things here sometimes take a little digging to find. it is also on my Peyronies Disease forum. The link in my signature line (the area immediately under my posts) goes directly to my journal.

In summary, I should have done this years ago. In fact, if I had done it 15 years ago instead of using injections I would have never had Peyronies Disease and lost over another inch.

My penis feels normal to the touch. You could visually examine me in full sunlight with magnification and find no trace I had implant surgery. The sensation in my penis is completely normal. I lost NO size from surgery. Of course, my pump is detectable from touch and at this stage (7 weeks) my deflated penis is not quite hanging straight down but very manageable.

Regardless of the cause of ED. Every solution I have tried (over 15 years) has far more hassles and less a satisfying outcome than an implant. However, I had an incredible high-volume doctor perform the surgery. You do not have to necessarily have my surgeon but my advice is to choose very carefully. Just because someone else is satisfied with their surgeon does not mean they have great results. If you have no working penis for years, get a working penis, and have no other implant penis to compare it to you might be satisfied with less than you could have had. While there is a chance of problems with every surgery, statistics show that you minimize your risk with a high volume specialist. It is true that you can play the odds with a less experienced doctor and win the lottery but I am for minimizing risk with my dick or any other body part I only have one of.

Savioe, I say go for it! I agree with Hawkman. I'm with Kaiser and have been for 30+ years, so I did not have a lot of chooses of surgeons, but did some research on him and found out he was highly recommended by Coloplast as well as a PA that I have been seeing for years. He did a great job on me, and have no complaints about his work. He gave me the chose of implants, AMS or Coloplast. He made sure I knew what I was getting into, ran all the test to make sure I was a good candidate for the surgery, and called me a couple of weeks after the surgery to make sure I was doing OK. I love my implant on many levels, and am very satisfied.

Thanks Andy, it is nice to know there is an alternative to where I am right now.

Appreciate it, Savoie
