Thanks for having me, I had a pump installed 16 days ago and have been having tons of pain. I hope this is all part of the process and “normal” I’ve read through a lot of the posts and am thankful for this group. Pump placement due to peronies (sp)

I’m addition I have had one heck of a time with pain since surgery, waited 9 hours in an ER because I thought something was wrong. When I stand it feels like I have a twenty pound weight hanging from my balls. I can’t sit flat on my butt yet and the only way I can stand to be is flat on my back. I still can barely touch my right nut due to pain.

I am sure you mean you had an implant. At 16 days you should be noticing a significant improvement in your level of pain. Most doctors would have you starting to inflate the implant by now but you do not have a signature line under your posts. More than the amount of pain the direction it is headed is important. If it is worse than it was several days ago you need to call your doctor.

You make a signature line by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner, clicking on USER CONTROL PANEL, clicking PROFILE, clicking EDIT SIGNATURE

You can add, type of implant, age, and other helpful info.

Thanks for the corrections, yes I had an implant. I’ll
Admit I didn’t do much research before having it done.

Yes, it will feel like you have a sack of sand hanging down there for a while but it passes. Give it time. Cheers man.

How long to get better?

Alibaba-when you say sand bag pain will last a while are you talking OTC Motrin/Tylenol or Percocet pain? The whole sandbag pain is new to me.

My URO pumped up near 90% and said leave it alone for 4 weeks. He would not give me pain pills past the first 3 days. He said use Tylenol. I luckily had some opioids stashed. I used them and X strength Tylenol for 3 weeks. Explain what procedure you had. Pubic, or scrotal incision? Some don't get pumped up at all. They just cycle a few times a day. What is your healing instructions?? Tell us more info.

I have a scrotal incision and I can’t imagine doing this without pain pills. I guess I’m “lucky” I
Take them already for a broken back. I just watched the surgery and it’s quite traumatic. It seems like I’ve had a more painful experience than a lot of the guys on here for some reason.

Opie,

It's totally normal. You're getting used to a foreign body being somewhere you're not accustomed to having there. I walked around like a bowlegged cowboy for a week!

For almost a month I had a burning sensation in my scrotum that my doctor said was an inflammatory response to the pump. That also went away and was the last vestige of uncomfortable feeling I had with this new implant. Now I only get the occasional twinge when the corner of the pump block above the bulb decides to shoulder slam my left testicle. But that's transient and I'm getting to where I don't even notice that anymore.

In two months from now you'll be 100% recovered and you'll know the short term pain was worth the long term gain.
