Can't they use a form of a zip tie on the cords at the initial implant with instructions to gently pull and hold pump down for 5 seconds so it doesn't ride up?

The design of the implant makes them go that direction, and the doctor tried to hide to the pump but because I am 6,2 and 160lb there isn’t a lot of room for things to hide along side I have shallow hips that makes it so the cut of the of when they inserted limits the shortening of the tube surgically which I tried and just made matter worse. Those rendering me hating the implant. I will say the ugly issues I have now feel better than when I was having sex with this issue the tubes when my balls shrunk would rise about one inch out of the side of my dick and that rubbed under the skin moving creating a numb sensation on the side of my dick, now it’s fixed I just have a huge ugly pump that is noticeable by 30 ft

I work with computers, so the zip tie thing is what we do for all the fucking cords we have to deal with and keep straight, lol.

They (some doctors) apparently use a procedure similar. I believe my doctor used non-dissolvable suture thread to tie the three tubes together as they went into the scrotum, and they rest RIGHT OVER MY URETHRA. The tubing is in a "triad" bundle, two below and one above and anytime I put upward pressure on my pump while sitting, that bundle where it's tied together wil ride up under the skin to the ventral side of my penis and causes the urethra to itch.

Wow! Just mentioning the word Urethra and suture in same sentence makes me wince. But is it a good idea. I can see why with the pics.
JH2007, 6'2", 160??? I must admit I had the idea in my head that ALL implant users were of a large variety where everything fits or can be put somewhere. The way it worked for me. My bad.

Just to be clear, the tubing is free-floating in a bundle but happens to go down the median (center) line from both sides of the penis at the base, down to the scrotum. Instead of running down the right or left side as some implants do, my doctor chose symmetry and ran it down the middle.

I just wanted to make sure you didn't think I was implying that it was sutured to my urethra. I think that would be a really REALLY bad idea.

Also, to your comments about JH2007's situation, it sounds like he may have been implanted with infrapubic incision. I've read that in some cases with IP incisions rather than PS (penoscrotal) that the tubes from the reservoir go down one side of the penis and the tubing comes out of the corporotomies from the top and then do a 180 and loop down under the penile skin on the same side as the reservoir tube. This can cause an uncomfortable rubbing or chafing in some people. I don't know how common that is or whether JH2007 had an IP or PS incision. Just recounting something I read.

See. there are all sorts of ways to do the surgery!
Glad I looked at the videos and got an idea of what Dr. does when he has my life in his hands!

Hello JH2005, It looks like you have the same tubing issue I have. It's not the cylinders but the tubing that was circled in red on another post. My implant was 11/6/17, long story short, just last Wed. I saw a 34 year old urologist and was very pleased with him. Doctors generally don't say negative things about other doctors, but he said he could correct my tubing issue by shorting the tubing and some other things. Part of the reason he does an infrapubic incision is to avoid this problem. (I had a penile- scrotal incision.) The shorting of the tubes makes total sense to me, as it feels like that's what is sticking or bulging out. I'm going to see him again in January and hope to schedule a revision ASAP after that. My tubing issue keeps me from full use of what little I have left. I finally feel hopeful after 2 years! I can let you know how things go if you'd like. VegasED

I'm no expert, but in my opinion the reason it inflates sideways is because they way the tubes are routed. Look at this photo, see how the tubes are tucked in between the cylinders? Mine were routed around the outside causing the right cylinder to be pinched when it is inflated. I am searching for Urologists in my area that accept my insurance to have this corrected.

This is a good thread and thank you for posting that graphic...definitely one of the most helpful things I've seen yet to help me visualize what just got put into me a few weeks ago.

I’ve seen a few physicians, and I had the scortial approach. And my last Surgury was with the same aspirations from the doctor but alerted me also it has to do the cylinders because they can’t move where the red circle leaves the the cylinders, and as I stated I have shallow hips (the place they place the rear of the implant) is pronounced or out ward, so at this point the only way to fix my issue is a full reinstall and hope they can do farther back but there are limitations still, or a malleable

And the Surgury I got done that shorten the cords really just pushed the pump to a very obvious place, which makes sense given you can see that picture up above and if you see it come out like.

You're making me think that maybe my implant's shortcoming may be due to anatomy after all. Maybe I have a similar anatomy in the crus as you do. I've been complaining that the doctor didn't go deep enough into my proximal corpora due to scarring, thus using a 5.9" (15 cm) implant on my 5" penis. Having just over 1" of the rear tip inside my body. Maybe that's all my anatomy could accept?
