Worsening incontinece after catheter

This question is to all Radical Prostatectomy guys who had penile implant.
Did having catheter after penile implant worsened existing stress incontinece? I know, catheter is always removed next morning after surgery day so basically it stayed in for less then 24 hours.
In my conversation yesterday, with someone who had it both, it was mentioned big possibility of worsening of stress incontinece.
RP guys what was your experience?
I trust this forum.

I have had both and don’t have any incontinence issues at all. My only issue after radical prostatectomy was urinating more frequently. The catheter used during implant surgery didn’t change anything.

My catheter after implant stayed in 3 days and I removed it myself. My incontinence issues after prostatectomy with VERY minor to almost non-existant. The catheter after implant did not make that worse in any way.

I had RP 9ish tears ago (I meant years but, tears works too).... I had a brief period of incontinence. I've had three penile implants and have had even briefer periods of incontinence following them. That said, I am also a 67 year old man and I don't "hold my pee" quite as well as I once did! I occasionally lose a little when I'm with one of my "professional girls". Usually we just move on with no comments. I suspect I'm not the only old man who loses a little pee with them. Occupational hazard?

Nine years ago:
The day I got my post-RP catheter out, I put on a diaper and took a nap. I awoke soaked and with my bed soaked. After I cried a bit (really cried), I got on Amazon and started ordering pads for my recliner, pads for the bed, pad for my car seat. But truly, in just a few days (or weeks - memory) I was past all that, although I did wear the small pads for a while until I re-gained my confidence. And I PRACTICED THE KEGELS. One other thing I did was start wearing black cargo pants, as they tend not to show "a small leak". Many years later I'm back to khaki Dockers for work but I still wear only the black (Target) cargo pants for casual wear.

Prostate cancer was traumatic. RP was traumatic. Pissing on myself was traumatic. Radiation was not really a big deal. Sweating out the years to be a "five year cancer survivor" not so traumatic as rewarding! 2.5 years with no erections was traumatic. Botched implant was traumatic. BUT......NOW I CAN FUCK!!!!!!

Being able to fuck is wonderful! Good luck!

No it did not.
It took years to get stress incontinence under control after the prostatectomy and I still go pee before squatting, bending or picking something up. Implant did not make it worse.
I know one man who had AUS at the same time of the implant but he was soaking a box of pads a day before the implant. 3 years ago and his AUS has been replaced twice but he likes that it works.

Ali, my buddies friend was still wearing diapers 3 years post RP simply 'cause he couldn't cut down on his beer.... priorities, I guess.....and I sometimes pee WHILE squatting, bending or lifting.....

RP 7-2017. Implant 4-2018. IPP caused a slight increase in stress incontinence. I wear more black shorts. I live in the country so you may find me peeing wherever I am. Got it pretty much under control.
