The Medicare main # takes forever to get through so I thought I'd ask someone on this site a Medicare question. Does anyone know if Medicare covers a nurse for someone recovering on their own? Anyone ever recover on their own?
THANKS

I do not know the answer about Medicare coverage for a nurse. It is a great question. if you have Medicare you are likely over 65. Many states have such programs for seniors. I would start by calling a local hospital and asking to speak to their social services representative to inquire what services are available in your area for seniors and those convalescing from surgery on their own.

As far as recovering on your own, I think it can be done but it would be kinda tough. There are several people here who have spent the first 3 - 10 days alone in a motel after surgery. Check out Merrix Journal as one example. Merrix wrote the most definitive journal on an implant that I have found on FT and he traveled alone to the U.S. for surgery. viewtopic.php?t=6010
