Dr. Eid prescribes very adequate pain meds. I do not think there is any chance of getting hooked if you do not have prior addiction issues and you take the meds only for pain control. It is very unlikely you will need them much over a week.

Many people use only extra strength Tylenol or Aleve. I used maybe 3 Tramadol the entire time I was healing and found no relief that ice and an Aleve wouldn't do the same for.

In the recovery room I was asked what my pain level was. I was still under the influence but I said, "a three". Based on that I suppose that's why I was sent packing scripts for Extra strength Tylenol and prescription strength Motrin and nothing stiffer. They did me just fine but I did get a 2nd bottle of Tylenol. I supplemented the meds with some cannabis. I was skeptical about the wacky tabacky but it worked rather well.
