Great attitude! It seems most young guys want to put off implant surgery due to the need for revisions, but meanwhile they are left fumbling with a problematic dick. As you said you are embracing it and you will benefit by maintaining your size.

Yes I woke up in the middle of the night last night to pee & looked in the mirror. I was glowing & smiled at the idea of making my decision & having the surgery behind me.

My doctor & Coloplast Educator even say that length can increase with future revisions.

Until then taking things 1-day at a time.

Do you wish you would’ve done the surgery years back?

I absolutely would have done it sooner had I known it was an option. 30 years ago I was naive and didn’t have internet to do research like we are able to today. The first year I had ED I scheduled an appointment with a renowned Urologist who specialized in male sexual dysfunction. He had me lay in the exam table and injected my penis and it got rock hard. Therefore his diagnosis was I had a psychological problem and referred me to a Psychologist. He couldn’t find anything wrong and said my results were inconclusive. It was so frustrating. At that time none of the pills were options. The urologist got me on injections, which were hit or miss and hurt like hell. Over the years I went to many other doctors and each was much more interested in prescribing pills than figuring out what was wrong.

It finally occurred to me I could get an erection while flat on my back and still, but lost it if I rolled over for sex, sat up or stood up. Even morning wood could last a very long time on my back and if I got up it was gone. A few years ago I had to switch doctors due to an insurance change. I finally got one who listened to me and sent me for a Penile Doppler and it showed a 40% Venous Leak. My symptoms had never changed all those years and that test was available years ago so I think it is horrible all the different doctors I saw never ordered it.

You are lucky you are the age you are with the treatments available so you got your issue taken care of. I am glad you smiled about your decision. I had a big smile on my face when I could finally pump to the max and look in a mirror and see myself hard. It had been many years since I had seen that sight because I had to be flat in my back.

What’s happened? Did you recently have a revision?

Implant good. After waiting weeks finally got the final final word on my cancer treatment. I do not have the altered gene so basically there is no treatment. Phone tag with suppliers all day, that kind of stuff. Had a blast at the election polls though and then everyone had awesome news here. Cheers men, act like boys now.

Dr. Hakky did a great job with me and I'm happy to hear of your results. He understands us and communicates well. The Coloplast guys there are great, too, aren't they? Best of luck to you!

Best wishes,
Mike

Thank you very much for the words. We have the same size rig. Was cycling possible after 2 weeks?

Roof,
I was scheduled to return 3 weeks after my surgery but had to push that appointment another week due to work. I began cycling after that, and frankly, my sac was not ready for cycling til then. You want that incision to heal. But then, you're much younger than I was.

Take your time and follow doctor's orders.

Mike

This is very interesting to read, Greg.

It seems that you had a decent level of function prior to being implanted. Did you only have the one Doppler?

I find those tests to be very unreliable. I’ve had 4 and the first one diagnosed me with a ‘mild’ VL but these tests don’t take into account the pure stress of the situation. I remember I didn’t react to the drug on the table then went home and had a hard on for 2 hours.

Also; it’s funny what men’s expectations of themselves are. Is it normal for Middle aged men to just be able to retain an erection standing up for more than a few seconds unaided? I don’t know, I’m asking. I certainly wouldn’t be able to; much like I would struggle hugely to get a condom on in time and this is one of the reasons that no matter what my tests say, I just don’t think I’m ‘normal’.

When I inject I am 80% hard as long as I stand and don’t move. If I lie down or begin to move wooop, down he goes. When we try to have sex it is stressful. I have to be on knees and in doggy position and she has to be the one moving. Will go to sleep, dick relaxes. Then if I get up to pee at night, I get hard walking to washroom. Then lose wood when I lie down to get back to sleep.

Never been tested for venous leak, but what else could it be? Mental?

Day 3: Last night the blockers began to wear off & the swelling & pressure in my testicles began to build. This morning went to Dr. Hakky’s office & got my drain taken out which has benn probably the most painful aspect of this process so far. Then he undid my dressings.

Penis looked very good. Minimal swelling/bruising & the same with my testicles. I could feel the pump in my balls. He re-dressed my unit & discharged me. The lighter dressing on my junk felt like I had better mobility as well.

I am to rerun on August 30th for a follow-up. Begin cycling in the next 2 weeks hopefully.

My 34th Birthday is on August 21st. Until then going to take it easy, ice take antibiotics & eat very healthy to help promote further healing.

Sounds like everything is going very well and I hope that continues. Your birthday is coming up very soon so you may still need/want to take it easy for awhile after that.
