LGX Cylinder Sizes

Postby Hawkman » Fri Jul 27, 2018 10:14 pm

I know Coloplast come in 2 CM increments but I think I was told that the LGX only come in 4 CM increments.

Can anyone tell me the sizes? I am having trouble finding the lengths on the internet.

Thanks

Pages 6 and 7

CX comes in 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24 cm
LGX comes in 12, 15, 18, and 21 cm

I HATE links that leave you only partway to the answer .

Any idea why Dr. Eid (who installs many AMS and Coloplast) would tell me that I will likely measure out to a 22 cm Coloplast but if he used an LGX he would have to use an 18 cm and stack RTE's? Why could he not use a 21 cm LGX? I do not particularly want an LGX. I am just curious when I see the lengths.

Remember 1st - Coloplast does not claim to expand in length as the AMS does and
2nd - I understand the tubes from the implant to the reservoir are different between the 2 brands. The AMS needing to be pushed toward the Glans of your Penis to have enough tubing to reach the reservoir effectively.
I know that my LGX pump rides very high in my scrotum and I feel that the cause is the shorter tubing of the AMS. Just my non-medical personal view on this.

born 1949, Cancer 2014, 1st Implant AMS CX 18 + 3 RTE, Oct 2015 by a Houston Doctor. Left with loss of length, Floppy Glans and pain, a very poor job. Revision in Dec 2016 by Dr. Kramer, 21 + 3 1/2 RTEs, LGX, Regained length, Glans supported and no pain.

My body size needed to have a single 5cm rte, buried into my cruse, to have the tubes coming out of the implant right at the scrotum with a ams 700 lgx 15cm with 5cm rte. Result is a solid 6 in shaft that is anchored into the rte right below my pubic bone. Perfect placement.

I am surprised Dr. Eid did not explain it. According to him, the AMS tubing is too short and if he does not use tip extenders on that brand, the pump will be too high to use.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

Do the RTE’s decrease the total length post surgery vs if the same length is in the cylinders?
