I had a 30 degree bend back towards my body from about 2/3 the length of the erect penis. On the basis of this the surgeon chose to use the Titan implant, due to its increased intrinsic rigidity. He assumed that this would be sufficient to correct the Peyronies and no other corrective surgery was made. I was implanted infrapublicly which is his std method.
The surgery was successful in that the penis is straight with full inflation of the implant, at deflation the penis is still bent at the Peyronies angle/position.
My assessment is that this implant approach has been successful. It makes a massive difference psychologically to be able to go hard and straight at will.
There is medical literature which describes that Peyronies bends up to 30 degrees can be assumed to be corrected by an implant.

Skier123- it was Dr Winston Lowe. He retired about a month after my surgery. He told me earlier that he planned to do that and I was so confident in him that I decided to move forward. Great experience and outcome.

QuestionGuy- my plaque sounds similar to your description. It was discussed in each exam I had with him. Initially I got a second opinion from another Dr. I felt it was necessary to overcome all the anxiety I had. I went back to the Surgeon that I originally saw and discussed the procedure you describe at length. He was honest and to.d me there was really no way to be certain until he was “in their”. I also believe that was his reasoning for the inplant he used. In sure the sales folks had a little to do with it but by this time I felt I knew whatoptions and possibilities I had.

In hindsight; I had a good Dr, the best possible outcome for my situation and it works...WELL! Would do it exactly the same if faced with it again. Good luck to you both.

Hey tsanchez,

I did suffer with Peyronies before my implant. I’m happy to say that following my implant surgery the Peyronies is no longer an issue.
With Peyronies I suffered with a bend of roughly 70 degrees as measured by Dr. Lue at the University of San Francisco. It is worth noting that I also suffered from ED for many years.
On December 1, 2016 Dr. Lue implanted me with an AMS 700 CX. The implant was very successful and now two years down the road I am still happy that I made the decision for the implant.
I hope this helps you. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I know that I missed one of your PM’s and I apologize for that.

Jim
