Appointment with implant surgeon

This morning. I saw implant surgeon for my impotence that was caused by Radical prostatectomy. Had RP 20+ months ago and tried all steps to recover my erectile function with no success. After extensive talk about all options which I already exhausted (pills, VED, penile injections) , urologist recommended penile implant. We talked about pro and cons of penile implant including complications like infection, implant failure, penile shortening, partners satisfaction etc. He answered many questions I had.
After examination he did SPL test which won’t be anything close to prior to RP length because I suffered significant loss of length and girth which doc mentioned that is more then usual for loss after RP which he expressed as significant atrophy. Not encouraging news. Suggested 7 weeks of daily use of VED of at least 30 min.
He showed me one implant which was Coloplast Titan and how it works. He does both AMS And COLOPLAST but he suggested Coloplast Titan to improve girth.
I agreed and decided I will proceed with implant.
Tentatively, scheduled for September 5 after I come back from European vacation with my wife for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.
My biggest fear now is not surgery but insurance approval of implant.
Doc mentioned he has good arguments for insurance to approve my implant but also mentioned that insurance people are not from the same world we are.
Will hope and pray for implant to be approved.
Special Thanks to Cincinnatus for info about Dr Khera At Baylor Scoot Urology. He is very nice and very personable guy with excellent bedside manners.
