Dog ears effect

I am reading for last few weeks here on implants forum and one thing that caches my attention here is “dog ears effect”.
I did search and found many posts about it.
After reading them them, I still don’t have a clear picture what it is and how it looks in pictures.
If I may ask those who experienced “dog ears effect “ to explain it in the simplest way possible and compare 2 pictures which one is with dog ears effect?
I appreciate it.

If you take a garden hose and bend it double (typically one may do this to stop the flow of water through the hose) it kinks. Where there are sharp folds, we call those "dog ears".

Same thing happens when you fold down a penis implanted with a stiff implant. The two tubes kink where the fold bends. Typically, Coloplast Titans (made of a stiffer material than the AMS CX or AMS LGX) do this. The AMS devices can do this, especially when new, but since they are constructed of a composite (Dacron cloth and silicone coating) which is more flexible until stiffened by inflation, they do not show this phenomenon as prominently.

An unimplanted semi-erect penis can exhibit "dog ears", too if you bend it.

Sorry, no pictures, but I hope the hose analogy is helpful

Titans are known for it because of the material the cylinders are made from.
Never a bother for me, they have softened a good deal plus I keep them partially inflated to eliminate the ‘kink’.....no problem at all :)

Dog ears were not a problem with my AMS. At first the folded spot was uncomfortable with the Coloplast but all I had to do is move my penis or put a couple pumps of fluid in and there was no issue. As time went on, it has become quite pliable and comfortable with no dog ears whatsoever. Merrix had told me long ago that was his case and is mine too.

Thanks maxxx!
I see it. Picture is worth thousands words.
I am sorry it happened to you. When you inflate partially, I hope is not visible.
