Wondering about pump and testical romance

My URO told me not to touch my pump at all during the 4 week healing process. I did not pull it down or touch it. At 4 weeks his associate saw me. He squeezed my release button and it felt like he was squeezing my left nut. OUCH

The pump and valve seemed to be connected to the cords to my left testical. He said it felt normal. Now 5 weeks later with me trying to separate them every day, twice a day, I am wondering if this IS normal. In the hot tub I push up on the bottom of the pump with my right hand. Then with my left thumb I push down on my testical trying to separate them. My right testical is swinging free. I can run the deflate button now without much pain but I am concerned that they seem attached. Wondering what you guys think? Should the pump be completely free of other parts in my ball sack? The healing process they used, I wonder if every patient has the pump attached with scar tissue to something. SO mine is normal to them. The pump and valve is low and easy to get to, and I can live with it, but I am just wondering if my situation is normal.

My first one was connected to my right nut and remained that way till the implant was replaced 14 months later. Caused me all kinds of pain. That is not saying yours will be similar but that was the case of mine. The pain became intermittent later on because working with it I managed to stretch the connection enough they were still tethered but they would pull apart about a finger width. That helped some.

Ali, you've had both AMS and Coloplast, did you notice the size difference between the two pumps?
I remember both Kramer and Eid said the Coloplast pump is about 30% smaller than AMS in size and might be noticeably to some, particularly for bicycling.

Coloplast pump was VERY noticeably smaller without the uncomfortable square brick on top the AMS has. It also is shaped so that it really feels similar to another testicle. I love the Coloplast pump. Some doctors said the Coloplast was a "cheap poor quality knockoff to the AMS" but I had to wonder if they were just repeating AMS rep sales hype. I love the Coloplast pump size and shape. It is very comfortable. I still maintain if someone made an implant with AMS cylinders but a lot larger in size with a coloplast pump it would be ideal. Cheers.

Interesting about the Coloplast pump being smaller. Never herd this before.

117 viewed and one comment. Is everybody else pump swinging free or is it attached to a testical or scrotum wall?? That is the question.

Brother, the reason I have not left a comment about how everything is "swinging free" in my sac is because it has been years since it was put in. I think you need to hear from other recent implantees. Best wishes, brother.

I will be 2 weeks out on 7/6/18.
My instructions were to pull down every time I went to pee. My pump is low and left and my balls are just like before surgery, free. Just started hot shower - ice routine and cycling yesterday. I have followed my doctors orders exactly.
Hope this is of some help, bought as recent as one can get.

I can only say for me at 6.5 weeks post implant, I have not had any problem with pump attachment. Both nuts free to move around without contact. hope this helps and good luck.
