I am with BUPA. They paid for the device. I ended up less than $5000 out of pocket all up.
I am in Qld. but chose Urologist Chris Love in Melbourne......he is Australia’s highest volume implant surgeon.
I have had a superb outcome and am happy to recommend him.
Good luck mate

I, too, have BUPA coverage - not the highest level, but they picked up all but $250 of the hospital/theatre costs (and they were plenty, I understand: around $25K for 2 nights, but don't quote me on that).
My implant was done by Justin Chee. He charged me $7,500 + initial consultation of perhaps $150 net of Medicare. On top I had $500-1,000 for the anaesthetist.
I suspect that surgical/anaesthestist figures are negotiable. The latter are getting their whack from Medicare (NOT from private health cover) and anything they squeeze out of us is just cream. And while the initial consultation with surgeon falls within some Medicare number, the surgery itself is "elective" and not covered by anyone but ourselves.
It's worth it!
Melbourne, Oz. Radical prostatectomy & titan implant at 60. Size uncertain, but big enough to hang onto. Nah, it's huge!

Make sure your doctor knows you are a grower. I think it makes a difference in fit. I told both mine I was what I called a 2 stage grower. It would grow to about 5 3/4 first stage, then about 3-4 minute later it would start growing again to 7 1/4. I had both stages marked on my vacuum pump so I knew when to give it a few minute break before pumping to stage 2. After I mentioned that some other told me the same. All were undersized their first implant. The Milam put a 21cm in me first, Kramer replaced it with a 22 plus 1.5 tip extender. That is 1 inch difference. Has there not been added scar tissue from the first implant capsule, there might have been room for more.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.
