Had my appointment today with the Urologist with my partner so we could both ask questions and get prepared. I’ve got my antibiotic script and my special soap. Did the wiz quiz, blood drawn, and EKG and my surgery is set for July 9th!
I’ve got 20 days of this nervous and excited feeling for my courage to wrestle my fear and doubts into capitulation.
As always thanks to all the contributors for sharing their experience and helping me make this decision.

Re: Surgery scheduled for July 9th!
My only advice, prepare yourself for the bruising and swelling. Yes, the pain I expected was there, but it was the bruising and swelling that really caught me off guard. I no longer needed pain meds and switched to Tylenol after 2.5 days. The swelling of my scrotum, which caused it to look like a softball and the bruising of my entire pubic area was more concerning to me than anything.
Good luck, and soon you will feel like a new man. I had my surgery just over a month ago and feel fantastic.

You have a great way with words:
"I’ve got 20 days of this nervous and excited feeling for my courage to wrestle my fear and doubts into capitulation."
That's well put. I remember those days. You'll do fine. As the day of surgery got close I felt a sense of peace about it all. One of the best decisions of my life.
Wishing you all the best on the 9th and thereafter.

Thanks everyone for the support!
Quincy and Star I have been following every post in your journal and wanted to thank you for sharing your journey and the little details that I’m about to experience.
On a side note my Uro commented to my partner that I was the most informed patient he has ever had when it came to asking questions. I started to mention that I was on a forum and he stopped me and said FrankTalk? Then commented he and his colleagues all know about this site.
