For sure ask your doc about it. Several have told me that they were not allowed to get wet for over a week. My doc seems to be different. He said that I've got a very small incision in a smooth part of the skin, it's double-stitched and has surgical glue sealing it. He's not worried I'll get infection through the wound.

Your doc may be different and I'd never suggest you do anything but what he tells you.

I'm icing a lot after hearing "ice is your best friend" from so many. I'll let you know if the change to heat helps. I'll get my first hot shower a little after noon. My guess right now is that I'll be alternating between the two

One of the highlights of your post, my friend, is your girl friend. Congrats to her for being an awesome partner and congrats to you for finding and keeping her.

Thanks Antelope. I'm very lucky she has been so supportive and stuck by me through the tough times. I've never been very good at talking about my ED with her and for a long time she thought it was her fault

Sounds like you are healing well. Take it easy. I didn’t bath for a fortnight on Drs orders but they all have a differing view so just do what they say. Try to leave yourself alone and heal fully (I know it’s difficult (nearly said hard!!). But the waiting is worth it. I had many WTF moments but at 6 months it’s bloody awesome. So much fun. Enjoy the times ahead.

So, different docs have different instructions because they do things differently. I like that your doc used surgical glue, Not only does that go along way toward preventing infection but, it should reduce the length of time you have to avoid a bath. Once the swelling is reduced, you may want to switch to an electric heating pad... especially just before cycling. It warms up the rubber pump and makes it easier to squeeze and feels awful nice on you balls at the same time. :)

Star......so thrilled that you have made it to the other side !

Now you can start "the rest of your life" free from fears of performing badly during sex.

As long as your implant is working, you will never be fearful of the serendipitus oppportunity for sex.

It is a great feeling to be free from the shackles of ED.

Congratulations my man ! You were brave, and now it is time to enjoy the benefits of the bionichood.

Today I had my two week outpatient follow up appointment. I was expecting to see the nurse specialist who would guide me through the inflating/deflating process, but instead saw the surgeon. I preferred this I was able to speak to him directly on a few of my concerns.

Swelling:
He was pleased with the level of swelling at 2 weeks post implant and has told me to leave everything alone and let it heal naturally which I have been doing.
I am still finding it hard to precisely find the deflate button (not because I want to cycle my implant but just to have a general play) but hopefully things will subside over the next week or so. He had a squeeze or my balls and the pump etc and it was still pretty painful.

Cycling:
Unfortunately he wants me to see the nurse specialist in 4 weeks to go through cycling and I have been told to leave it alone until then. This is a bit frustrating as that will be 6 weeks post surgery, which seems a long time to have to wait.

Cylinder tips / floppy glans:
This has been a concern for me every since surgery. For those that aren't aware, I had the same surgeon as Ruktitan who was left with floppy glans and I am sure he won't mind me saying, a suboptimal outcome.I spoke with the surgeon both pre-surgery on the phone as well as on the day of the surgery to stress that he size me correctly and that the tips go half way in to the glans. His response on was and has remained consistent which is they always try to do this as best as they can but each individual's anatomy is different. Anyway, post surgery I can feel the tips finishing at the base of my glans, a few mm's below the corona, which slightly disappointed me and left me worrying if I am going to be left with floppy head. I asked him about this today, to which his response was that he felt the tips post surgery when I was fully inflated and that the tips were extending half way in to the glans. He also added that despite them finishing at the base of my glans when fully deflated (my current state), once I am inflated and fully cycling they will extend half way in to the glans as they should. I am hoping this isn't just him bullshitting....

Hope this is useful. Feel free to message or DM anytime

Hi. Fingers crossed he is right. It’s a long wait now. Ralph had me inflating at 4 weeks and that was long enough although I was still fairly uncomfortable at that point. But here at 7 months and oh my god. I feel 19! So I’m hoping your cylinders do reach the glans. Best of luck. Keep us posted.
