Medicare funds an implant and implant surgery. Although I'm currecntly 47 years old, I'm eligible for it. That being the case, which type of Medicare should I get, type A or B for it?

Part A covers inpatient hospital and nursing care and Part B covers outpatient and doctor care.

Isn't it the other around? I have A and B and it paid everything. But another poster here only had A and he said they wouldn't pay. A is the free part. B has a monthly fee. They take it out of my social security.

I have medicare A & B plus AARP- United Health Just got my hospital bill yesterday to the tune of $46,408.00. I had to pay $350.00 co-payment. I don't know if the Doctors fee was part of that or not. I still have one more follow up appointment with him so maybe I will receive a bill from him also.

The coverage I quoted was from the official Medicare Handbook. What is paid and what isn't depends on what procedure you have, inpatient or out, etc. Ask your doctor. Contact the insurance companys. Most likely you will still be responsible for a co-pay.

Somewhat confused here, I need clarity. Your bill for an implant was about $46,000??? Hows that possible?

Nothing confusing about it. My hospital bill was over $46000.00. I had to pay $350.00 as my co-pay. I don't know if that covered the DR. part of it or not. I was in the hospital form 7:30am to 2:00pm and sent home.
Don't think I can make it any clearer.
