Somewhat confused here, I need clarity. Your bill for an implant was about $46,000??? Hows that possible?

Donnie's was $94,000 so $46,000 is very easy to believe.

This is bullsh'it. How can an implant cost about $100,000 or $50,000? I've read it costs no more than $15,000 - 20,000. This makes no sense.
ED since 1996. Peyronies in 2012. PRP in 2013 and 2017. Dr. Brock, urology, NC, USA. Cialis and Viagra stopped working since 10/2017. Haven't been on Trimix since 3/2016. Will consider injecting it again. Will be prescribed testosterone injections soon.

That is just the cost of the implant. Then you have the surgeon, Anesthesiologist, nurses, hospital fees, etc.

Some of the confusion may lay between what amount the hospital "Bills" for and the amount the insurance actually "Pay$".

0ften agreements are in place where the patient might owe a pre-set co-pay, but, otherwise isnt responsible for the difference between billing and insurance reimbersement.

Some doctors/hospitals agree to do the proceedure for the amount Medicare pays out alone.

I know of one implant that billed at $ 60,000.oo .

Part of that was the surgeon billing for $ 5,000.oo, but settling for $ 800.oo .

Every case iis different, especially IF a secondary insurance is involved.

Sorry Drummer, I am Canadian, specifically Ontario. My provincial hospital insurance paid for everything and my private insurance paid for the private room. I don't know the hospital billing system.

No I dont believe it. Doesnt make any sense and contradicts what I've read. Think I'll start a new thread.
