This whole thing is so amusing because nobody knows how to interact with the troll’s alts. I get it, I don’t either. But Duke, you don’t have to respond to DJ_soros, he’s just tooyoung! They are all the same sad troll.

It’s funny, I keep on thinking that the troll (I guess we’ll default to calling him “tooyoung”) is leaving behind telling mistakes that give him away must be “winks” to show that he is well aware of the chaos he is causing. But maybe it’s all just sloppiness?

I mean, just above Soros says that the reason why he thinks I know Duke is real is because Duke and tooyoung had it out a few months ago. But why would a guy (Soros) who just randomly started posting a few days ago know that much about that? Because tooyoung knows about that. Similarly, a bit farther above tooyoung states that Soros “will be” posting a journal about his implantation experience. What dude who has interacted with another dude a very few times on an anonymous message board now “knows” what that other dude will be doing? None. But since tooyoung is Soros and Soros is tooyoung, of course they know each other’s thoughts pretty intimately. Exactly as tooyoung says… he could be speaking his own mind!

But then when I see pumpless give up the very long AI generated corn poke routine again, I go back to understanding that it is actually all a “wink.” Tooyoung on some level wants us all to be in the place where we can’t be sure about anything, which is why he sometimes claims to be a doctor and sometimes doesn’t, sometimes claims being implanted and sometimes doesn’t, etc etc. All that is classic troll behavior… in the end he just wants the attention. He’ll happily yammer about the various excuses he has set up as much as he’ll engage in bad faith debates about device failure stats or whatever else.

I have been on the hunt for the “why” of the troll’s behavior, and reading up on trolls gave me the answers I sought. The Wikipedia page on trolling has a lot of good all around information about how trolls operate, and I think we can all see it pretty much describes our troll to a T.

“A a troll is a person who posts deliberately offensive or provocative messages online[1] (such as in social media, a newsgroup, a forum, a chat room, an online video game) … These messages can be inflammatory, insincere, digressive,[2] extraneous, or off-topic, and may have the intent of provoking others into displaying emotional responses,[3] or manipulating others' perceptions, thus acting as a bully or a provocateur. The behavior is typically for the troll's amusement, or to achieve a specific result such as disrupting a rival's online activities or purposefully causing confusion or harm to other people.[4] Trolling behaviors involve tactical aggression to incite emotional responses, which can adversely affect the target's well-being.[5]… A troll can disrupt the discussion on a newsgroup or online forum, disseminate bad advice, and damage the feeling of trust in the online community.”

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(slang)

That page contains some interesting descriptions of trolling from people that have studied it. This obviously fits with our fake-doctor, fake implantee troll and his various alts:

“Trolling is a game about identity deception, albeit one that is played without the consent of most of the players. The troll attempts to pass as a legitimate participant, sharing the group's common interests and concerns; the newsgroup's or forum's members, if they are cognizant of trolls and other identity deceptions, attempt to both distinguish real from trolling postings, and upon judging a poster a troll, make the offending poster leave the group.”

And “Trolling itself has become its own form of Internet subculture and has developed its own set of rituals, rules, specialized language, and dedicated spaces of practice.[57] The appeal of trolling primarily comes from the thrill of how long one can keep the ruse going before getting caught, and exposed as a troll.”

The wiki page and other resources also duscuss “concern trolls.” These trolls often target communities of people that are dealing with an illness or other problem, such as obesity, and often pose as being concerned for the outcomes for that group but are deliberately causing distrust and targeting attacks. The troll pretends to be sympathetic to the problem the group is experiencing and offers advice that is designed to frustrate them than to actually help them. That certainly rings true about a guy that does not apparently have an implant, but feels the need to basically spend his time trying to make the majority here feel uneasy about themselves by casting aspersions on the idea that their equipment is safe. It’s a “ticking time bomb” that is going to crap out at any time, etc.

Anyway. Like I said I like to figure mysteries out, and my remaining mystery was the “why” of why this troll was engaging here. And I think I have found an answer that works for me, at least: I think it is all an elaborate attempt to just troll… pretend he is a member of our group and cause everyone discomfort, and get away with it. He gets off on that, and he uses tactics of concern trolling to make it seem like he is really just concerned about all of us when he is really here to cause us discomfort.

We can figure out who are not the troll’s alts because they don’t troll. Having a mpp doesn’t make you a troll or one of his alts. Duke Cicero is not a troll because he doesn’t troll, he’s just a brother with an mpp. Same with Ready2Go and LastHope. Some of the older alts like pumpless are both trolling and also clearly alts. The two new alt accounts that popped up don’t troll (at least not yet), but they are clearly alts. Soros and Neisseriaceae are alt accounts that started posting just as I first called out tooyoung’s use of alts. They came ready made with explanations for why they are new, etc. Soros and Neisi are best buds too, apparently, Soros knows all about how lost his acount but got a new one, yadda yadda. Why does he know all this? Because they are both the same troll. I love the detail about how supposedly Soros is recovering from recent implantation, yet he has NOTHING to say about putting frozen peas on his nuts or whatever, he just wants to fight over ipp vs mpp and over whether tooyoung is 48 chipmunks inside a trench coat, read up on Duke’s “famous” fight with tooyoung and research Neisi’s history across multiple accounts.

There are other possible alts, but those are the ones we have pretty good evidence of at this point.

Remember… the trolling is a game to avoid detection, but it is also a game. That explains some of the carelessness and “winks”. The Troll wants us to know he is winning.

So, how do we get out of this cycle tooyoung has put us in for the past six months? Perhaps we don’t. But the best advice is “don’t feed the trolls”. Don’t engage with the troll and his alts on the substance of anything. But it can help to call him out… the more guys that recognize he is just a troll the less he is “winning” this game and the less satisfaction he gets out of it. He’s gonna fight back, of course, call you names, make his profile picture an insult like he did to Kodixxx, etc. But he really gets off on “winning” at this game, and the less he feels like his winning it the less interested he will be in playing it.

Be well, brothers.
