Does anyone here regret getting an implant?

I would not let concerns about future revisions inform your decisionmaking. Just ask yourself whether you need an implant now. Yes, implant tech is getting better. But we are on the cusp of a number of breakthroughs in medicine, and the pace of those breakthroughs will only accelerate as we increase our AI-assisted analysis.

In particular, we are headed towards tissue regeneration, possibly commercially available within the expected lifespan of an implant: https://www.sciencedirect.com:5037/scie ... 9924003163
50. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

I think it depends what causes the ED.

For me I have muscle/nerve problems caused by pelvic floor issues less a vascular problem. This is why pills are hit and miss.

I dont technically need the implant right now, but I tend to think about it when things get stressful.

Are you saying that they may be able to reverse the damage from an implant or am I completely misreading you there :D

Psych ED since forever less problems being erect alone.
3 kids. Long term partner.
CPPS pudendal neuralgia and muscle tightness in late 2023 making ED worse.
Cialis no longer works. Sildenafil 100mg with diazepam works some of the time.

Don't think that reversing the damage from an implant is around the corner. They would have to be able to give you healthy, new cavernosal tissue and regenerative medicine doesn't appear to be anywhere close to solving this issue.

The operation to remove the scar tissue is also very complex. This part is already achievable, but only a few superspecialists can do this and still infection rates are very high
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25
