Re: My road to implant
Well, my husband finally got around to telling me what the Dr told him after my surgery and it explains why my scrotum looks like raw hamburger. Apparently it took more than one try to get the implant inserted because of my plaque mass. That's why surgery ran almost 3 hours. My sac is looking better and starting to hang down. I can feel the pump and it seems to be riding very high. But it has only been 3 days.

Steve, looks like you and I had similar issues. See my attached photo of my scrotum that I took six days after surgery. I have an obvious lighter colored ragged scar to the right of my raphe scar from the incision so I believe this was an accidental tear while the doctor was struggling to clear plaque in the base of my crus on the right side.

My surgery ran almost 3 hours, and all that working to get our implants in place is really hard on our scrotums. One question for you: At the 6 day point in your recovery, where was the pump. Mine is riding so high in my sac that I can hardly find it. Hoping it descends because there is no way I could take the pain right now if I tried to pull it down. Thanks!

Mine was so swollen I couldn’t pull on it either.Mine stays high and I pull it done to inflate/deflate and I’ve had no problems.I pulled it down a lot like he said after swelling went down but it always goes right back up!

My implant is so distally located (remember, virtually no crus here) that the tubes come out of the corpora directly under my scrotal webbing and track forward down the penis for a few millimeters (or a centimeter) before arcing down toward the pump. The pump has always been quite low and folds back underneath when my scrotum is retracted. When my scrotum is slack though, my third ball hangs down quite a bit.
For perspective, I have a 15cm implant and at my best I'm about 15cm in length. Where are the rear tips? They're in the base of my penis, rooted just about 0.75" inside, under my pubic bone. I don't have deep crus that goes from the pubic bone back toward my anus like some guys do. Or at least that's my theory since my surgical notes specifically say that he had to clear the plaque from the right corpus cavernosum all the way back to get the implant to seat. When I was questioning him at 3 months about the implant not going all the way in, he told me point blank that it was all the way into the erectile body. The fact that you got 21cm with 3cm of that being RTE indicates that you have a deeper crus and the RTE was probably used to ensure better placement of the tubes under the penis (not too far back).

Re: My road to implant
Well this is surprising. I remember, from long ago, that feeling in the morning just as I started to wake up. For me at least, back then, waking to a partially or fully engorged penis had this unique pleasurable physical sensation. Reaching down to feel that morning wood brought a unique pleasure. As I woke up today, that feeling was there. I had the sensation in my penis of it becoming erect. It felt exactly like my penis was trying to become hard. As I felt and then looked at my dick, it was the exact same boner I have been sporting the 7 days since surgery. It was a wonderful feeling I did not expect. Do any of you guys get that morning wood feeling?

Absolutely. I've mentioned it on numerous occasions and even started a thread with a subject alluding to the fact that my doc said it was impossible because he'd "TOTALLY DESTROYED" my erectile tissue, which I know is not true now.

Oh yea, I have that feeling waking up and sometimes during the day. Nothing I have found really makes me get that feeling, it just happens and even watching porn doesn't do it most of the time. It is a good feeling though, as you mentioned. In the morning when I have that feeling grabbing my dick almost makes me want to beat it off then and there. My Coloplast at flaccid state is stiff enough to do it.

This is the second FT member whose posted a photo with an incision on the abdomen. What is that incision for?
60 yrs old. Gradually worsening ED for 10 years. Pills and trimix not working well anymore. Will need an implant in the near future.
