how are you doing nowadays?

I'm okay. I'm only a week in to a seven week period where I've been told to let things heal by not doing anything. I'm hoping against hope to avoid further complication. Every time I feel warm or sore or what little swelling there is, I'm on pins and needles.

The length is a good thing, definitely, though it isn't apparent at the 40% inflation I've been left at for now. The surgeon told me to use a vacuum beforehand which I did for almost two months. I'm pretty sure it stretched me a centimeter or two. And the very purpose of the salvage malleable is to preserve length.

It sounds very likely that the VED device is what stretched you. Honestly I'm very impressed that after an infection (which is known to shorten length) plus being undersized with the malleable, they were still able to fit a bigger inflatable than the first time.

What was your VED routine? How often did you use it and for how long?

Once or twice a day for about ten minutes. I never got past the middle settings on the cheap pump I bought off Amazon which read as 190-230 mbar--I didn't trust the accuracy, though. Basically until it felt a bit "sore" and got visually stretched. The seal with a silicone gasket of sorts that came with the pump with KY or other water based lubricant. It usually didn't seal real well given the irregular surface around the shaft, but it would "cycle" in a range between the set pressure and a lower increment. I was about 2 cm larger *in the tube* after going through this. As soon as pressure was removed and I got back out of the gasket, things quickly shrank back.

Were you also doing VED before your first implant? or only with the malleable?
